NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT, and NIMCET. Only the candidates with a valid score in the accepted exams as per the applied course are admitted.

NIT Trichy JEE Main cutoff 2025 concluded with the release of the final round cutoff list for various All India and Home State quota categories. Yes, NIT Trichy does have an HS quota. For the OBC AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 119 to 33628, according to the first and last rounds.
