TSEdCET 2026: Normalisation of Question Paper

The TS EdCET exam happens in many slots. Some students feel that every slot has a different level of difficulty. To make everything fair and equal for all, a normalization process is used. This process helps to bring every candidate’s marks from all sessions onto one common scale. Because of this, if one session is a bit easy, the marks might go down slightly. And if another session is harder, the marks may go up a little. It all depends on how students perform on average in each session.

The exam papers are made with care so that all are almost equal in difficulty. So, the changes after normalization are very small. The normalized marks make sure every candidate gets fair results based on their real performance. This same normalization method is also used in many other competitive exams in India. It helps to remove any advantage or disadvantage for students who appear in different sessions.

Note: For the candidates for whom there is no qualifying cut-off in TG EdCET-2026, if the mark in TS EdCET-2026 after normalization goes below zero (negative), the mark is treated as zero.
