MAJMC from Panjab University, a good choice.
Placements: If you want great placements, M.A. JMC from Panjab University may not be the right choice for you. They still may provide placements in Print media like local newspaper agencies. But do not provide in electronic media like TV channels or Radio Stations. However, teachers may recommend some agencies to you. Not many of our seniors were placed by the college, mostly found their jobs themselves. The highest package offered was 3 LPA in our senior batches. We even found our internships ourselves.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is good but our building is quite old. There is no Wi-Fi provided inside the building, however, you can register for Wi-Fi in the hostels. The quality of food in the hostel mess is excellent, it is highly recommended. However, we have a radio station in the department itself.
Faculty: The course is nice, the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable and the teaching quality of the staff is excellent. The course curriculum is also relevant to some extent. However, not much exposure was given to us due to our covid batch. But if you are a covid-free batch you will be asked to go out and the much-needed exposure will be provided to you. But you have to highly prepare for the exams as the checking is quite strict. The passing marks are 33.3%.
Other: The best thing about the course is that it will make you quite intellectual. It can give you a great push for applying to advertising agencies. It can make you confident to face the cameras. I would want to improve the condition of our department, apart from that everything is nice.

Placement cell of particularly my department is a bit fuzzy otherwise it is an amazing experience.
Placements: The placement cell of the department has been decreasing gradually. Although the teachers try their best to place every student and provide opportunities to each one of us, but, at the same time, their is no guarantee for the same. The teachers are all experienced in their field and have a lot of contacts and hence do help the children in times of need. The placement condition is not that unpleasant though.
Infrastructure: It is an amazing university campus with a lot of departments and hostel within the campus. Their is a library, sports ground, swimming pool, gymnasium and almost every facility that a child could ask for. Their are every other thing that you want with around 10 hostels each for girls and guys separately. Their is a dispensary and Wi-Fi facility as well.
Faculty: The course is considered to he amongst one of the best in the country and the teachers provide you wuth the best guidance and motivation. Each teacher is a Ph.D. scholar. Guest lectures are also arranged by the professionals of particular fields for better knowledge. A lot of practical knowledge is also provided to the students to give them an idea about the field work and make them ready for the same.

Other: Life is serene in PU. There is no chaos and that is why one likes to be here! Infrastructure needs to be improved, though. There are a lot of facilities available but at the same time, nobody uses them. The teachers don't encourage students much. They should encourage the students to use the facilities available. The teachers should motivate students to do various other things. The practical learning should be on the top of the priority list instead of just focusing on the theory. Practicals are very important and a person gets to learn more while practically performing the task. Especially, when it comes to Mass Communication, practicals should be given more priority.

Other: Good alumni base needs to compete with other colleges, more practical and specialized exposure needed! The process of absorbing, selecting candidates should be made slightly tougher and more competitive. The course also needs to transform from being seen as a purely academic activity and become more practically engaging so as to attract more students. The campus placements need to improve significantly

Other: The very fact that the teachers teach, use Power Point Presentations, the practical classes are an essentially important part of our learning. Learning is fun here. The teachers are cooperative and friendly. The infrastructure is up to the mark. Placements need to be boosted. Rest the campus life here is enjoyable and a good exposure to the students is available here.

Not satisfied due to the lack of interest that teachers show, being a government college.
Placements: No placements are provided yet, and the placement opportunities are too low, and nobody is ready to work on it. They have less interest in getting the students placed, and only 3-4 companies come to the campus if possible. But the packages offered are not more than Rs. 20,000 per month and that benefits only 2 or 3 students out of a class of 30-35. Reporting, sub-editor, and video editor roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Library, radio studio, and a TV studio are available and are hood. The hostel is not available for all the students. It is the worst process ever of the allotment of hostels. You can complete 2 years, but you won't be able to avail such an opportunity unless you have good contacts. If you have no good contacts, your existence is questionable.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified but not helpful. They are knowledgeable but not regular to the classes, and their teaching methods are questionable. The curriculum is quite relevant. It is perfectly designed, but the applicability is poor, and they put too much pressure on the students at the end of the semester. The evaluation is unfair. The exams are given less importance. Practicals are not considered much. Practical classes are little or least.
Other: It is a professional course that provides you with a platform to learn, discover and get involved in the career-building process. The best thing is that it works well if they provide more practical knowledge than theoretical. More participation oriented assignments, practical or lively projects and industrial visits must be channelised. All these are essential. That will bring more force into this profession and cater to the industry needs.

Yes, as we already know none of the universities lacks in offering best to its students, the same is the case with PU. If we talk about the surety of getting placed or jobs, it all depends upon the academic performance of the candidate itself. If it is good then he/she will definitely get placed in
