College is fine, but very overhyped.
Placements: PEC provides decent on-campus placement for top branches. CSE, ECE, and EE branches have above-average placement percentages and average packages. Most placements are for SDE, analytics, IT, etc. Roles. Our ECE branch has very few students placed in core electronics, and core placements are on a decline. Further, Other branches like Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Production, etc. It has a very low placement rate.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is bad. The boys' hostel has very small rooms. Hostel food and cleanliness are average. In college, there are multiple dysfunctional labs. The robotics lab has machines which are out of order due to a lack of maintenance. The gym has old-school equipment, including very few weight plates, unlabelled dumbbells, non-adjustable pulleys, and dysfunctional machines.
Faculty: In my first year, I have seen a variety of teachers. Most of them are well qualified. A very few of them teach exceptionally well. Most of them are just like any other teacher, teaching for the sake of course completion. Seniors seem dissatisfied with the faculty.
Other: Campus life is fine. College's location is good and has connectivity with multiple tourist destinations. Further fests/athletic meet/Gurmat Samagan, etc. Keep students engaged and entertained.

My college is good for placements if you are in a good branch like CSE, AI or this.
Placements: I am in the Computer Science branch currently in 1st year, and this year we have got 90 percent placements in the Computer Science branch. The highest package is around 53 LPA this year, the average package is around 16 LPA-17 LPA, and the lowest is between 5 LPA and 6 LPA. One of the top recruiting companies is JP Morgan. Top roles like SDE are offered by the companies this year.
Infrastructure: The college has a poor infrastructure. The internet in the classrooms is very slow. Jammers are installed in the classes. The library is well-maintained and large enough to study there with facilities like AC, tube lights everywhere, proper charging ports, and proper Wi-Fi connections all over. The college has all the types of labs required for the course. The college has many grounds and is active in sports. To cover medical facilities, they have a dispensary where very basic medicines are available. The food quality of the mess is average, and canteen is good enough.
Faculty: Scholarships are available for those with parents' income less than 8 lakhs. Computer Science is the best course in college with the highest placements among all other branches. Fest this year was very average as the main event was cancelled by management. Hostel life and campus are very enjoyable. Clubs are very active, so there is no end to extracurricular activities.

The best placements from the old legendary college.
Placements: From our prestigious institute, most of the students have been placed so far. This year, the placements have taken a great turn with on-campus placements of about 55-60 percent, and the lowest package from our college is about 5.4LPA, and the highest is 60 LPA from CSE, ECE, and Electrical. Whereas Internships have decreased by about 4-5 percent. About 15 percent of students have got internships in companies like JP Morgan, McKinsey, and BMW from my course. Top recruiting Companies from our college are Cent, Airbus, McKinsey, JP Morgan, Apple, Zomato, Meesho, Phones Pe, Amazon, etc. Top roles offered are as follows management, SD profile, Data Analyst, Marketing, Sales, etc.
Infrastructure: PEC is more than 100 years old and has an average infrastructure i.e., very old. Development is currently taking place in our college, and new buildings and a hostel are being built. The quality of food in the hostel is above average, cleanliness is good in the mess and washrooms, and the sports and games department also offers many opportunities and equipment to pursue your hobbies.
Faculty: The mechanical department faculty is good, and really experienced and knowledgeable. And if we talk about its exams and curriculum, it's proper on an application basis, and exams also check the level of the student so that he or she can be a part of the mechanical course.

PEC Chandigarh, not IIT Chandigarh. Overall college is nice, senior–junior culture is good.
Placements: Most seniors of 3rd year I MET are interned. For CSE, average package is good, like above 15 LPA, percentage is also good, above 90 percent, although placements were still going on. The highest package is 62 LPA, from both CSE and ECE branch. Internship stats for CSE is good, the highest is around 1.5 LPA for a month, and the percentage is like 70–80 percent.
Infrastructure: Buildings are okay, Wi-Fi is unusable in hostels, resources in library are great, labs are average too. Mess is okay according to price and PEC market is one of the highlight points of college, it’s very good. Medical facility is available at PEC market only. Around this time, so many events are there that one doesn't get bored in their college life.
Faculty: Teachers are average. 1-yearite I cannot comment about course relevance. Exam difficulty is mid, but quizzes are congested with assignments and viva, that creates the problem. Maybe, that's a first-year problem, as Saturdays are also working in first year. Grading is affected by attendance too, so one needs to get bored in classes.
Other: Management staff could be of less attitude. Gym is good, sufficient equipments. Fest is okay. Management is like much lazy.

I really like the vibe of the college.
Placements: I am a 1st year student currently. In the year 2025, the maximum package went above 70+ LPA. In the year 2024, the maximum package is approximately 85 LPA by a student of Data Science stream. The best placements are bagged by CSE students. Most students are able to get interns in the 6th semester in major companies such as JP Morgan, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi isn't very good in some parts of the college, probably due to the walls of Holder building. Other than that, library and labs are in great condition. The lecture halls have good study benches, except those in L-26, L-27, L-28, L-29. The sports are maintained very well.
Faculty: Semester exams are pretty tough, but students still have ample time to prepare for exams while taking part in other activities. All courses are taught thoroughly with multiple books to prepare and refer from. I do feel like some subjects should not be part of the curriculum.

PEC is a great college if you want any college with very good placement and excellent college life.
Placements: In ECE branch of PEC Chandigarh around 85 percent students got placed. The highest package is 52 LPA and the lowest is around 6–7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are American Express, Mediatek, and all software development companies allow ECE students in placement, and many students got placed in software roles. Around 45–50 percent got internship from PEC. Top roles are VLSI design, consultancy, SDE, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of PEC Chandigarh is decent. First-year classrooms have AC and for Computer Science department and ECE department have AC. Wi-Fi is good. Infrastructure of labs is decent, some lab machines are old, some have new machines. Library is good, all types of books are available. Hostel is average but quite costly compared to other NITs. Mess is decent and there is no hostel canteen. Medical facilities: there is a dispensary in PEC market where you can get medicine. Sports facilities are good, all types of grounds are here like cricket, athletics, volleyball, squash court, etc.
Faculty: First year I don't have idea about professors of my core subjects, but first-year teachers are good and qualified. Curriculum is good, all important subjects and practical are included. It makes us industry ready. Semester exams are moderate. Around 30 marks is required to avoid back in each subject.
Other: I have interest in ECE and PEC have great college life so I choose PEC ECE.
