PEC is a great college if you want any college with very good placement and excellent college life.

Placements: In ECE branch of PEC Chandigarh around 85 percent students got placed. The highest package is 52 LPA and the lowest is around 6–7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are American Express, Mediatek, and all software development companies allow ECE students in placement, and many students got placed in software roles. Around 45–50 percent got internship from PEC. Top roles are VLSI design, consultancy, SDE, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of PEC Chandigarh is decent. First-year classrooms have AC and for Computer Science department and ECE department have AC. Wi-Fi is good. Infrastructure of labs is decent, some lab machines are old, some have new machines. Library is good, all types of books are available. Hostel is average but quite costly compared to other NITs. Mess is decent and there is no hostel canteen. Medical facilities: there is a dispensary in PEC market where you can get medicine. Sports facilities are good, all types of grounds are here like cricket, athletics, volleyball, squash court, etc.

Faculty: First year I don't have idea about professors of my core subjects, but first-year teachers are good and qualified. Curriculum is good, all important subjects and practical are included. It makes us industry ready. Semester exams are moderate. Around 30 marks is required to avoid back in each subject.

Other: I have interest in ECE and PEC have great college life so I choose PEC ECE.

Average could have been better.

Placements: Around 70–80 percent students get placed. The highest package is strong, average is decent, and the lowest is basic. Top recruiters include major IT and core companies. About half the batch gets internships in similar firms, mostly for teach and analyst roles.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is decent, labs are well-equipped, classrooms are clean and modern, and the library has enough resources for most courses. Hostel facilities are okay, food is average but manageable, medical support is basic, and sports facilities are good for regular play.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is solid. The curriculum is mostly relevant with decent industry focus. Semester exams are moderate tough but fair, and most students clear them with consistent study. At the end, you have to rely on yourself only.

Other: I chose this course for the technical depth and career scope. The best parts are the hands-on labs and strong peer group. Curriculum pace and industry exposure could improve. Fests are lively, crowd is friendly, campus is well-connected, and extracurricular are active.

It's a good college and can be compared to tier 1.5 NIT and colleges.

Placements: Placements of CSE, ECE, and Electrical are quite good here, about 70 percent and with an average package of 15 LPA, so it's quite good. From last few years the records were a little poor in terms of percentage of students placed, but this year it has shown major growth, mostly in core branches like Mech and Proud.

Infrastructure: Apart from some blocks, the other hostels are quite good and accommodable, and food is good. The breakfast is the best thing here, you need to compromise a little with the lunch, and overall it is quite good. All other things are up to date. The sports fields and ground are well maintained and good.

Faculty: In first, there are some subjects like UHV and all those I feel are not important for the upcoming course. The core courses are good enough as they follow NIT pattern. As we all know, the core subjects here are very good, so in terms of course and exams it's quite good.

Other: Well, I am in Electronics. This college is more than a century old and has a good reputation over the years. This college is not less than a good NIT but also better than most of them. If you get any of the branches till Mechanical, it's quite good enough.

Placements: The average package is 15.6 LPA, with the highest touching 61 LPA, and overall institute placements range around 52-66 percent. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Uber, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, and Texas Instruments, offering mainly SDE and product roles, while internships (overall ~292 offers) come with a stipend up to Rs. 1.87 lakhs per month. Branch-wise placement and internship percentage for ECE are not officially published.

Infrastructure: PEC's ECE department offers good infrastructure with Wi-Fi-enabled academic blocks, well-equipped labs (VLSI, Embedded, DSP), smart classrooms, and a strong central library. Hostel facilities are decent, the mess food is average with better options in canteens, and the campus provides a medical centre along with excellent sports grounds and indoor game facilities. My college is the best in India.

Placements: Placements are comparable to many top NITs. Placements are kind of nice compared to the rank you can get here. Almost 80% of students get placed in this college. Top recruiters like JP Morgan, Samsung, Apple, Google, etc., come for placement. An electronics engineer is a role offered in my course.

Infrastructure: There are various electronics engineering laboratories that are fully Wi-Fi and air-conditioned and have access to it. There are various hostels in PEC for boys and girls. Food is kind of good, and the rooms are okayish. There is a dispensary in the PEC market for medical purposes. There are various grounds in college, like athletics, football, basketball, and cricket grounds.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified from various top colleges like NITs, IITs, and many foreign universities. The curriculum is relevant apart from some old courses, such as ed. There is no difficulty in passing the exam, and students can pass the exam by studying one week before the exam.

Other: Due to my passion for electronics, I chose this course. PEC organizes PEC fest every year, which is one of the biggest fests in North India. There are also many other fests organized, including startup fair, summit, trivium, etc.

Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2025 irrespective of their age, are also eligible. Note: List of qualifying examination(QE): i). The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. ii). Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. iii). Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy iv). Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. v). There is only one NIT that to in Warangal in Telangana. There is only IIT in Hyderabad. In order to get admission in IIT Hyderabad, you need to be in top 1000 AIR JEE Adv. and in order to get in NIT Warangal, you need to get rank of 30k and below if you belong to a category in JEE Mains. NIT Jalandhar cut off for B.Tech ECE and ICE for year 2018 in HS quota for female is as under:- ECE Opening and Closing ranks was 15073 and 26395 respectively.
