Satisfied with the college because it gives us all the facilities.
Placements: Placement percentage is 70 to 80% in electrical engineering. The highest package is about 80 LPA, and the average is 13 LPA. About 20 to 30% got internships. All big companies like Microsoft and Apple come to campus here.
Infrastructure: Full college Wi-Fi all over the campus. Labs are well-maintained, and the overall college infrastructure is average. There is a decent library with full facilities. Classrooms are very good, and the whole college is fully air-conditioned. Hostels are average, and food quality is also average, as in all NITs or other colleges. A medical dispensary is also available on campus. All types of sports and grounds are available with decent facilities, and there is also a gym.
Faculty: Teaching quality is overall good or average, not excellent. Teachers are well qualified. The course is relevant. The difficulty of exams is moderate, with a pass percentage of 90 to 95%. This pass percentage varies subject-wise. Physics is very tough here, and exams and quizzes in Physics are tough. Exams of all other subjects are normal.

The college beats many top-tier colleges in terms of placement, and the overall experience is great.
Placements: Approximately 70% to 74% of students have been placed so far. The highest package for the EE branch this year is 52 LPA. The average package remains 12.90 LPA and the lowest package offered was 3.20 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Apple, BMW, Maruti, L&T, and Siemens are some of the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: Personally, I feel the infrastructure is quite updated and should be replaced, and development is ongoing. Everything a student needs is present on the campus. I like the library, computer labs, and reading area. The classrooms are equipped with smart projectors, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. The hostels are quite decent; again, the infrastructure is quite outdated, and the mess food is also decent. Sports facilities are available for every kind of game, like volleyball, cricket, basketball, and there is also a swimming pool inside the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. These are teachers qualified from prestigious colleges of India like IITs, NITs, and other top government colleges. It is really easy to communicate with them and get your doubts cleared. The courses are quite relevant, but not so relevant, which I believe should be updated. But it's the problem faced by almost every college, I guess, these days. For the most part, this makes you industry-ready too. Semester exams are not so difficult, but the grading is relatively strict, so you have to prepare accordingly.
Other: I chose this course because of the versatility and the good placements offered by this college. This branch allows me to take any job related to my field or a core-related job. I would like to skip some parts that are outdated and not used in the industry but are taught just for the sake of knowledge. The crowd is very good. The college organizes events, and sports competitions are held in our college. There are many scholarships provided by the college and the college is filled with extracurricular activities. You can have fun if you wish to.

PEC Chandigarh College review.
Placements: Around 70 percent of students get placed in electrical engineering, with the highest, the lowest and average packages being 52, 6.5, and 14 LPA. 160 multinational and top-tier companies, including Uber, Microsoft, JP Morgan & Chase, Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, Arcesium, Cisco, American Express, ZS Associate, Maruti Suzuki, Airbus, Infosys, Micron Semiconductor, and many others. Additionally, the office has been instrumental in introducing 30+ new recruiters for PEC students, such as Blinkit, Tick2Trade, Chegg, Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), RP Sanjeev Goenka Group, FNZ Group, Table Money, Perfetti Van Melle, Vectorial AI, UBS Group, and Usha International, further diversifying the placement landscape.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of PEC Chandigarh is decent. First-year classrooms have AC, and the Computer Science department and the ECE department have AC. Wi-Fi is good. The infrastructure of labs is decent, some lab machines are old, and some have new machines. The library is good, and all types of books are available. The hostel is average but quite costly compared to other NITs. The mess is decent, and there is no hostel canteen or medical facilities. There is a dispensary in the PEC market where you can get medicine. Sports facilities are good, all types of ground are here, like cricket, athletics, volleyball, squash court, etc.
Faculty: In the first year, I don't have an idea about professors of my core subjects, but first-year teachers are good and qualified. The curriculum is good, all important subjects and practicals are included. It makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate. Around 30 marks are required to avoid a backlog in each subject.

Amazing college with top-tier placements, good academic environment, and a nice atmosphere.
Placements: I study Electrical Engineering. The placement is still going on, and it is amazing. Top companies like Oracle, Apple, American Express, and Nvidia have also visited the campus. Some of our 3rd-year seniors have even bagged internships in companies like Texas Instruments and Flipkart. Some have also bagged PPOs in top startups like PhonePe. Companies like JPMorgan and Microsoft also visit the campus in their placement grounds every year. The placements in electrical are really good, with previous years seeing 52 LPA, the highest package in electrical, with a median of around 12 LPA and an average of around 13 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure can surely be better. However, it is still manageable, with labs being allotted for every course. We have regular lab classes, promoting hands-on learning. The food quality is okay, and the hostel is also okay. Sports facilities are really good, with football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, and badminton courts. It also has a great gym. I would say that PEC Chandigarh has a really good atmosphere.
Faculty: The teachers are all Ph.D. scholars. They have great experience. They are extremely knowledgeable. The teaching quality was pretty good for the most part, with some classes being pretty boring, just like any other engineering college. The course curriculum is relevant enough, and it is evident if we look at the placements. It surely makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are pretty conceptual. They are not tough, but they can only be solved by people who have really understood the concepts.
Other: I chose this course because I liked Physics and math. The electrical Engineering has a lot of that. This course is evergreen, yet quite challenging. It is never going to die. I would like the course to be a little more up-to-date. The events and fests are really good. Top singers like Sunidhi Chauhan and Asees Kaur have performed at PEC Chandigarh in the past.

It's a beautiful college, and I am having a nice time here.
Placements: Electrical engineering at PEC is a well-established branch. The highest package here is 52 LPA, and the average is 12 LPA. Top recruiters include Siemens, L&T, GE, Texas Instruments, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is appreciable, classes are well built, spacious, and labs are nice. The department has its own building. We also have conference rooms and tutorial rooms. Hostels are good, rooms are good, but small for 2 people. Mess is average. There is a PEC market that has a dispensary. We have two 2 Nescafe outlets also. A lot of sports facilities are provided. We have a gym, a badminton court, volleyball, basketball, a tennis court, football, cricket, and an athletic ground.
Faculty: Professors here are well-qualified and nice. Syllabus is completed on time. Exam-relevant questions and problems are also given. Assignments are also given. Exams are not very difficult, but not easy either. If you follow what the teacher says, then you excel. The course focuses on modern technologies like power systems and control systems, in collaboration with Power Grid.
Other: Campus life is excellent. A lot of friends and memories here. A lot of clubs, as per your interests. Beautiful, clean and peaceful environment. We have a PEC market where you can enjoy with your friends. We have the Annual Athletic Meet and PECFEST, which is 3 days.

PEC is one of the top colleges in India. We have to get a great percentile in JEE Main.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students got placed. The highest package offered is 54 LPA, and the lowest package is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are JP Morgan, etc. 30 percent of students got internships. We can easily get placed. If we do not even work hard, it's easy to get placements here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is a bit old because the college itself is old. The food is above average. The PEC market is the best. Sports and facilities here are very good. I would rate the college 4 out of 5 stars. It is one of the top colleges in the whole country.
Faculty: It does not affect whether semester exams are difficult or not, as there is a relative grading system. If exams are difficult, it is difficult for all students, and if exams are easy, then it is easy for all students. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: The campus crowd is the best. I got the best seniors. Pecfest is also the best. Nothing should be compared to Pecfest.

PEC is going to be great again.
Placements: In electrical engineering, there is a 74 percent batch, that is 120 students, who are placed with an average package of 12 LPA, so I think it's an average placement in which students get placed in Google, Texas, Red Bull, and 70 percent are AI and coding roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is good and similar to top colleges like IITs, but the hostel is average. The hostel is good, the food is of average quality, and the water is also not too good but not bad. It's good but a little bit more chlorine in it so it's average.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful except for one or two, and all are PhD holders and have good teaching skills. Curriculum is not that industry-ready as it is the old curriculum. Semester exams are of good quality and we can call them balanced. Most of the students passed.
Other: Here, a fest that is both cultural and technical is Pecfest, and it is one of the biggest fests in Northern India.

I mean apart from the old infrastructure and home state quota, other things are good.
Placements: Till 2024, placements were very good, but as of now, it's still good and getting better. Around 80 percent in circuital branches and 60-70 percent in non-circuital. All types of companies visit, for eg. Tech, Non-Tech, and Core. Placements are getting better this year. During the worst placement season, college still offered 70 percent placement in circuital branches.
Infrastructure: College is not that advantageous, it's a little bit old infrastructure with just adequate facilities, not too much. Labs are good, classrooms are ok-ok, old university-like classrooms. Library is good with capacity of around 100 people, Wi-Fi is okay. Hostels are old, mess food is not that much good, just eatable while ranting about it.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful when they saw that their students are struggling. Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, but just like a typical government college, they are not very much keen and enthusiastic about teaching. Course curriculum is relevant. But Engineering Drawing is not relevant, especially for circuital branches. Here to pass the exam and making good CGPA is tougher. Here checking is hard, not polished. Every answer needs to be perfect.

PEC Chandigarh is better than NIT in terms of its name and the quality of exposure one gets. NIT has the attractive 'NIT' tag, but there is a good legacy with PEC and the advantage can be seen as it is connected more to the industry. Whereas, NIT KKR has not been able to carry its good name.

Yes, you can get the admission. You have a good 12th board result plus you also have to have above 60 percent in your 10th result.

Hi Aman, PEC do not have provision for EWS with seat reservation or Scholarships. You can go through their prospectus to know more. https://pec.ac.in/sites/default/files/uploads/revised_admission_brochure_ug_special_categories18-19.pdf

Yes, you can get admission in PEC with that rank in SC category. Please check the last year's cut-offs and you have a good chance of getting CSE or electronics.
