Best college in Chandigarh to join, average infrastructure, but full of facilities, good placement r

Placements: In Computer Science, the placement and internship are around 85-90% this figure might be a little less, around 5%, due to the recession, but overall, the placements are very much fine in our college. The highest package is 65 LPA, and the average is around 17-18 LPA. The recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, JP Morgan, and many more for roles such as the reason for placement is due to the location of the college in Tricity, and the quality of education provided by the college to students.

Infrastructure: Our college is very old, so its infrastructure is not so great, but it has almost all departmental buildings for each dedicated stream with facilities such as Wi-Fi and labs. There is a huge library for students in college, our college also provide hostel with food facilities. In our college, we have specific grounds and courts for games such as athletics, football, cricket, volleyball, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. Most teachers are very good at teaching. The course curriculum are somehow relevant to courses, as in the first year total focus is to explore students with different engineering background and then from the 2nd year onwards, the curriculum for specific course get started. It makes students industry-ready. The exam conducted in our college is average and set by the professor that have teach whole semester, so it is a good test for students.

Other: CSE is a vast engineering course that are major demand in the market, as it leads you to became software engineer, a data analyst, a web developer, and many more roles. I think, as the AI is grooming at high scale so curriculum should be more modified with uses of AI. PEC is always famous for its fest name - PECFest, in the whole city, it is 3 day event and organised by the students of PEC.

Good placements and amazing campus life but the infrastructure needs improvement.

Placements: It belongs to the 2025 passing out batch of B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering. The placement statistics have been quite encouraging this year despite the market shutdown. Approximately 85 percent of students are placed. The highest package offered is 61 LPA while the lowest is 6 LPA. The average package is 16 LPA for circuit branches. Top recruiters include Apple, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Arcesium. Regarding internships, around 70 percent secured them with as high as 1.5 LPM. Top roles offered are SDE Data Analyst and Cyber Security Analyst. The placement cell is extremely active and brings excellent opportunities.

Infrastructure: Our classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors, though some older blocks still lack ACs.The library is definitely the highlight, it's fully air-conditioned and has a massive collection of books and this is the go-to spot during exams. The campus-wide Wi-Fi is decent. Labs are well-equipped for the core. Hostel life here is an experience in itself. First year get shiwalik, which is old, and the rooms are compact. The washrooms are average and need frequent maintenance. The mess food is edible but monotonous.

Faculty: The faculty at PEC is a mixed bag, some senior professors are absolute gems with deep knowledge in the core and CSE departments but a few others just stick to slides. You can't rely entirely on classroom teaching, most of us end up studying from YouTube or reference books. The curriculum has been updated recently to include some modern electives, but for placement you need to put extra effort outside the syllabus to be truly industry-ready. As for exams PEC follows a relative grading system which is a blessing and a curse.

Other: I chose PEC primarily for its legacy (more than 100 years old)and its prime location in Chandigarh. The best thing about the course is the flexible academic culture, unlike strict private colleges we get enough time to work on personal skills, coding, or startups. The alumni network is massive and very helpful. The infrastructure needs a serious upgrade, some hostel buildings, Shivalik, are very old, and hygiene can be an issue. I also wish the curriculum were updated faster to include modern tech stacks. Pecfest is the heart of our college life.

Placements: I am in the Computer Science branch currently in 1st year, and this year we have got 90 percent placements in the Computer Science branch. The highest package is around 53 LPA, the average package is around 16 LPA-17 LPA, and the lowest is between 5 LPA and 6 LPA. One of the top recruiting companies is JPMorgan. Top roles like SDE are offered by the companies this year.

Infrastructure: The college has a poor infrastructure. The internet in the classrooms is very slow. Jammers are installed in the classes. The library is well-maintained and large enough to study there with facilities like AC, tube-light everywhere, proper charging ports, and proper Wi-Fi connections all over. The college has all the types of labs required for the course. The college has many grounds and is active in sports. To cover medical facilities, they have a dispensary where very basic medicines are available. The food quality of the mess is average, and the canteen is good enough.

Other: Scholarships are available for those whose parents' income is less than 8 Lacs. Computer Science is the best course in college with the highest placements among all other branches. Fest this year was very average as the main event was cancelled by management. Hostel life and campus are very enjoyable. Clubs are very active, so there are no extracurricular activities.

PEC Chandigarh, not IIT Chandigarh. Overall college is nice, senior–junior culture is good.

Placements: Most seniors of 3rd year I MET are interned. For CSE, average package is good, like above 15 LPA, percentage is also good, above 90 percent, although placements were still going on. The highest package is 62 LPA, from both CSE and ECE branch. Internship stats for CSE is good, the highest is around 1.5 LPA for a month, and the percentage is like 70–80 percent.

Infrastructure: Buildings are okay, Wi-Fi is unusable in hostels, resources in library are great, labs are average too. Mess is okay according to price and PEC market is one of the highlight points of college, it’s very good. Medical facility is available at PEC market only. Around this time, so many events are there that one doesn't get bored in their college life.

Faculty: Teachers are average. 1-yearite I cannot comment about course relevance. Exam difficulty is mid, but quizzes are congested with assignments and viva, that creates the problem. Maybe, that's a first-year problem, as Saturdays are also working in first year. Grading is affected by attendance too, so one needs to get bored in classes.

Other: Management staff could be of less attitude. Gym is good, sufficient equipments. Fest is okay. Management is like much lazy.

I really like the vibe of the college.

Placements: I am a 1st year student currently. In the year 2025, the maximum package went above 70+ LPA. In the year 2024, the maximum package is approximately 85 LPA by a student of Data Science stream. The best placements are bagged by CSE students. Most students are able to get interns in the 6th semester in major companies such as JP Morgan, etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi isn't very good in some parts of the college, probably due to the walls of Holder building. Other than that, library and labs are in great condition. The lecture halls have good study benches, except those in L-26, L-27, L-28, L-29. The sports are maintained very well.

Faculty: Semester exams are pretty tough, but students still have ample time to prepare for exams while taking part in other activities. All courses are taught thoroughly with multiple books to prepare and refer from. I do feel like some subjects should not be part of the curriculum.

Infrastructure: College has poor infrastructure, especially Shivalik hostel. Wi-Fi in the classrooms is very slow and jammers are installed in the classrooms. Library is well maintained and large enough for the students to study there with proper facilities like AC, charging ports, and good internet connectivity. College has all types of labs required for the course. College has many grounds for different sports, a swimming pool, and a gymnasium. For medical facilities, we have a dispensary inside the campus. Food quality of mess is average and of canteen is good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified enough, but they don't teach so deeply in the first year as the subjects in first year are not related to core. So, even students don't care much about those subjects. The course is relevant and makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are doable as far as difficult is concerned. There is relative grading, which makes scoring a CG like 9 competitive.

Other: Scholarships are only available for those who belong to a family whose annual income is very less. Computer Science is the best course in this college than any other branch as far as placements are concerned. This year's fest is very average as the main event got cancelled due to some issues with the management. Overall, hostel life and campus are very enjoyable. Clubs are active, so there is no dearth of extra-curricular activities in campus.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: Around 75% of students are placed, the highest package is 58 LPA, and the average is 17-18 LPA. The top recruiting companies included McKinsey, JP Morgan, PhonePe, etc. The top roles offered are of SDE, but PEC doesn't have a link with foreign universities, which is kind of a bad point.

Infrastructure: There is almost no signal/Wi-Fi in the theory classrooms, and the infrastructure is old, but the labs do have good network connectivity, and so does the library as well, the rest facilities are decent. The quality of hostel rooms and mess is subpar. The rooms are small and not properly maintained. The timing of medical facilities is really limited, and the infrastructure of sports and games is also not good.

Faculty: Mostly, teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is also above average. The course curriculum is relevant, and at some level, it also makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too easy and not too hard. The pass percentage is around 90%.

Can't say about PEC but yes CU is a private university that I would recommend to you. In addition to receiving favorable NIRF and QS ratings, it is the latest private institution in India to be recognized by the NBA and NAAC. It offers the largest academic program, industry-focused and project-base

Hii Fellow, his percentile is not enough to qualify the exam so yo will not get any seat in JOSSA counselling but you can go for state level counselling. Also, you should appear for state level entrance exam to get a good college. thanks.
