B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering - Batch of 2029

I'm satisfied with my college and with my branch.
Placements: 24-25 LPA is an average package, 38 students are in production, including me, and the lowest is around 9-10 LPA. Britannia, JP Morgan, Mahindra, etc., recruited. I don't know the exact number of students who got internships from this course, but according to my knowledge, the placement ratio is good.
Infrastructure: In my opinion, the facilities and infrastructure are good. Wi-Fi speed is average, some labs and classrooms are excellent, and some are too old. The library is also fine. I'm disappointed with the quality of food served by the mess, the meals are heavy, but the taste is not good. The medical and sports facilities are fine.
Faculty: The teachers are awesome, highly expert and qualified in their respective courses. They give very valuable content for learning and typical questions for practice to challenge our problem-solving skills. The course curriculum is relevant for industrial uses. Semester exams are not very difficult, but giving proper time for studies is necessary.

I am reviewing my college.
Placements: Placements are comparable to many top NITs. Placements are quite good as compared to the rank you can get here. Almost 80% of students get placed in this college. Top recruiters like JP Morgan, Samsung, Apple, Google, etc., come for placements. The role offered in my course is electronics engineer.
Infrastructure: There are various production engineering laboratories in departments, which are fully Wi-Fi enabled and have ACs. There are various hostels in PEC for boys and girls. The food is quite good, and the rooms are okay. There are various grounds like those for athletics, football, and badminton for sports. The quality of the rooms is okay, and the food quality and taste are good.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified from various top colleges like NITs, IITs, and many foreign universities. The curriculum was relevant apart from some old courses such as ED. There is no difficulty in passing the exam, people can pass the exam by studying one week before exams. Teachers are so lenient too.
Other: Due to my passion for production, I chose this course. PEC organizes PEC Fest every year, which is one of the biggest fests in North India. There are also many other fests organized, including a startup fair, summit, Trivium, etc.

PEC: Informative and real review .
Placements: 5th semester is the time when one gets chance to get internship and throughout 7th semester, placements start all on the campus itself. More than 100 companies visit campus every year, giving more than 800 offers to the students. This year, 2024, the highest package was 54 LPA, which was less than last year's 81 LPA, but the average has improved from 15 LPA to 18.5 LPA. Almost 71% students got placed. I am currently thinking about placements on campus only.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are on campus only. Students can avail of hostels, and meals are also provided to them. Mess food is not so good or bad. Students may rather get bored with the food as the menu stays the same for a long time. Registration for hostel is done offline and the guidelines are provided on the college website. Hostel Fee : INR 81500 per year .
Faculty: In my department, Production and Industrial Engineering, the student-to-faculty ratio is good, which helps students to be very well connected with the faculty members and understand each and every concept very well. The course Production and Industrial Engineering is one of the best and industry-ready amongst all, as it provides financial knowledge as well as management knowledge and production knowledge too. Exams are conducted twice in a semester. Class Size : 33 Course Fee: INR 188,000 per year .
Other: PECFEST is the 3-day cultural and technical fest held in college every year between the months of October and December. There are more than 1000+ books present in the library and all students have access to all the books. All kinds of technological provisions and facilities are provided within the classrooms. A variety of sports can be played on campus. Annually, Sports Week is also observed on campus in the month of September. More than 25 societies, clubs, and cells are present on campus for the overall development of the students.

Absolutely great college, Could be better though.
Placements: The placement at PEC is great. With companies like JP Morgan, McKinsey, Microsoft, Phonepe, Samsung, and JCB coming for placements and internships, the students are provided with vast opportunities, and they can get high packages at a tender age. The internship semester allows students to go out and get exposure to various fields. Production and industrial engineering students get decent opportunities. The highest package went to 21 LPA in Industrial Engineering.
Infrastructure: The production and industrial engineering departments are pretty well managed. But the condition of workshops and labs is just above average. The lecture halls and drawing halls are below average. The hostels are pathetic and poorly constructed. Although the infrastructure is getting better over time, the present scenario is just manageable. Having friends will make it easier for you to make a good living.
Faculty: The professors are not very interested in teaching. The courses are great, but the professors are just average. The course curriculum lacks application but is practical-based. The exams are just fine; the questions are repeated year by year, adding no value to the exams otherwise. The evaluation criteria is the informal relationship of yours with the professor, and if you are a girl, then its a jackpot.
Other: Industrial engineering is a great course and adds value to the manufacturing sector, which is growing in the country. The course needs to be more application-based and not just practical-based. The crowd at the college is too knowledgeable, and you will get your fair share of opportunities to connect with people through clubs and technical societies. These are run entirely by students and add value to your overall development.

PEC CHANDIGARH - Campus with fun and Learning.
Placements: I have taken Production and Industrial Engineering in 2020 through JoSAA and seeing the placement and internship percentage it is approximately 88-90% as some choose higher education such as MS or Government services, for my branch major recruitment for our students was JP Morgan, Mckinsey, P&G, and many more. These company offers many role such as Investment banking, Consulting, Software Development etc.
Infrastructure: PEC is one of the oldest college of India so Infrastructure isn't upto mark, though they are upgrading at potential speed last year SIEMENS created top notch manufacturing, robotics and advanced computing lab, new hostels are building new courses and building are creating for academics and practical classes, but for now campus is situated in beautiful city Chandigarh, comprises of 200Acre land area.
Faculty: Faculty of PEC are top notch, and eye catching for institute, recently one of our professor got World's best teacher and some professor went for NASA For their event, the courses are similar to IITs curriculum as they are matched properly and ready for industrial experience. The semester exams are medium to hard depending upon branches and mostly students pass the examination some get back in their subject but they can easily pass the subject .
Other: PEC has very rich experience when it comes to student life and academic as well, We have annual event PECFEST which is renowned in the North India we use to enjoy fest a lot as well as they are many small experiences which make college life memorable, and comes to academic we have very practical subject which are very useful for our industry uses .

Review of Punjab Engineering college.
Placements: In the previous year, the highest salary package was 65 LPA by Apple. Top recruiting companies were Apple, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, J. P. Morgan, and Mckinsey. Top roles offered were coding, investment, banker, consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is old. The campus was built 50 years ago. They don't renovate the campus. Hostels are old, and their conditions are not good. Wi-Fi facility is also not up to the mark.
Faculty: Faculty members are great. All courses offered by them are useful for students. Some teachers are very dedicated, while some are just doing their jobs. There is a social gap between upper and lower branches as circuital and non-circuital. But if you are interested in the core then it does not matter.
Other: Societies and clubs of our college provide great exposure, especially the entrepreneurship and incubation cell. Pece Fest is held in our college.
