M.Tech at Tezpur university is better than M.Tech at SMVDU because the placements at Tezpur university provides much better options and salaries as compared to SMVDU. 

In comparison of both the universities it can be seen that the highest package of M.Tech at SMVDU in year 2022 was 3.6 LPA while at tezpurTuniversity was 4.01 LPA. 

As per the latest information, the overall cut-off varies from 357-367 for the M.Tech courses at SMVDU.

To be spoken separately the expected cut-off for "computer and Science engeenering" is 357, 361 for "system engeenering" and 367 for "electronic and communication engeenering".

SMVDU admits students based on the rank obtained in JEE/JOSAA/CSAB/UCEED for engineering programs and CUET-UG/CUET-PG for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Sciences, Management and Humanities. Admission in MBA programme will be based on CAT/MAT/CMAT/CUET score along with score obtained in GD/PI . In second phase for vacant seats in MBA programme CUET (PG) will be considered). First of all, candidates don't have option to avail any course via there home state quota. The SMVDU cutoff 2025 has been released for the candidates belonging to All India quota. During the SMDVU JEE Main cutoff 2025, the required rank to get into the BTech courses at institute should range between 64782 and 91814 for the General AI quota, so, candidaes applying with General AI quota can surely get admission at 30000 rank.
