Yes, you can join Sikkim University with or without entrance exams. The University offers admission via an entrance exam and merit based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam. Merit-based admission is offered for courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, etc.  However, for the flagship course, BTech admission is based on either JEE Main or SMIT Entrance Exam.  Candidates only have to qualify for the eligibility criteria, and based on their performance in the qualifying exam, a merit list will be prepared. 

Sikkim Manipal admission to most of the courses is based on valid scores of national/ university-level entrance exams. But for some of the courses admissions are merit-based.
