SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur MPT Admission 2023
At the postgraduate level, the institute offers a two-year MPT programme to the students across nine specialisations. The course is spread across two years consisting of four semesters. Admission to this course is done on the basis of SRMJEEH - PG conducted by the deemed-to-be University and is subject to a valid score obtained by the students in their last qualifying exam. i.e. their UG degree. Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree from a recognised University in India (on-campus full-time course) accepted by the authorities of this university as equivalent thereto
- Completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree in other country universities should obtain eligibility/ equivalent certificates from this university prior to admission
- Must have completed six months of Compulsory Rotatory Internship programme on or before May 31 of that academic year
- Must have passed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from other than SRM Institute of Science and Technology shall obtain a Migration Certificate from parent
- Submit to the Head of the Institution a Certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorised Medical Officer certifying that the candidate is fit to undergo the academic course

Students willing to take admission to SRM can apply online on the official website of the deemed University on payment of a common application fee of INR 1,200. SRM Institute of Science and Technology admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance tests. The admission for the flagship programs are held on the basis of SRMJEEE UG exam. Further, SRM MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of SRMJEEM test. The SRMJEEE PG test is conducted for the various SRMIST PG courses. The university also accepts scoring from nationally-held tests like CAT, TANCET, MAT, etc. for admissions.
Q: What is SRM cutoff mark?

SRM University Chennai offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses at the UG level in the Medical stream through NEET UG scores followed by round-wise NEET Counselling. As per SRM University Chennai cutoff 2024, the last-round closing rank was 195886 for admission to the MBBS course. The Round 1 closing rank for the same stood at 637582 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.
For BDS admission, the NEET UG first and last-round closing ranks were 980273 and 980273, respectively.
Q: Can students get admission at SRM University without SRM JEE?

SRM University conducts SRM JEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Also, direct admission is not valid either. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and M.Tech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam.
To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a preparation strategy to ace the exam.

The university fee structure is cumulative of several components, such as caution deposit, tuition fee, hostel fee, and more. A few of these components are one-time payable, while some have are charged annually/semesterly. SRM IST Chennai MBA tuition fee ranges between INR 1.9 Lacs and INR 11.5 lakh. Moreover, the one-time fee range between INR 1,200 and INR 11,000 and the hostel charges range between INR 1.45 Lacs and INR 3.3 lakh.

Good infrastructure, great campus, eco friendly environment, good exposure in terms of clinics.
Placements: We have 7 electives in our college. Per electives intake is 5, apart from sports, orthopedics, neurology the intake is 10. The academic performance of the students of the college is excellent so they obtain great employment opportunities in future. Mainly, the student are shaped into well developed physiotherapists so they can start their clinics or even hospital.
Infrastructure: There is a Central library for the entire campus and separate 2 libraries in the medical college. We have canteen and cafes, ending machines in the hospital as well as in the administrative building. The canteen and cafes are well maintained and hygienic.
Faculty: The faculty members are supportive, helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. For MPT we have 4 semesters. Each semester we have 2 internal exams alongwith practical and then the final exams are held. The current curriculum is okay. Its a valuable course and quite challenging.

Great college with all facilities.
Placements: Placements are quite familiar here, anyways it depends upon the job vacancy and availability. Recommendations are often provided by the staffs, mentors and guide. We are offered in hospital, clinics, fields and MNCs also. As ergonomist, neurologist, sports physiotherapist.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite huge and campus life is too good. We get everything at fingertips. Wi-Fi is available in every nook n corners of the college, smart classrooms are there, labs are there with well equipped machinaries. Food quality is good in hostels and also in canteens around them.
Faculty: Faculty members are way too good and cooperative, they clear doubts in no time. Each and every staff and faculty keeps on encouraging and motivating all the time. Apart from course extra curricular activities are also looked upon in SRM. In all the semesters questions are moderate to hard level but the pass % is 100.

Placements: This college provides excellent platform to get jobs and experience in hospital and institutions. It is a good college for pursuing PG. MPT student will get very good experience in hospital as the college provide clinical posting everyday atleast for 2-3hours.

Placements: The college has its own hospital so doing internship is easy after the completion of the course. For job placement it depends upon the vacancy in the department. For internship the students can easily complete from the college itself as the first preference is given to them.
