My first-year journey in SFIMAR.
Placements: From what I heard, placements here are decent, not that amazing, around 80 - 90% of students get placement opportunities. The average salary package offered is 4 to 5 LPA. It usually depends on students' performance also. Last year, finance students were having fewer opportunities. Good companies like JP Morgan and BlackRock are coming to the college but with lower packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with clean classrooms, smartboards, projectors, and podiums in each classroom. Centralized AC is provided. For female hygiene, a bin for pads is provided. Libraries and computer labs are also available. I did not opt for the hostel facility, but my friend stayed there. The fees were Rs. 6000 without food facilities. The canteen was providing decent food.
Faculty: The professors are quite helpful. They understand the students and assist them. Along with teaching the syllabus, they also taught us how to behave in the corporate world. They helped me a lot in boosting my confidence. Exams are divided into 2 parts; one is internals, which has subject-wise tests, presentations, and assignments, and the external is the end term.
Other: Speaking honestly, I was looking for a good MBA college, but my parents were not allowing me to go outside Mumbai, so I found an alternative that was MS. After completing my entrance exam, I filled out the admission form and got selected here. My fees for the 1st year is Rs. 227400, along with that, they took Rs. 1000 for portal usage, Rs. 11000 for alumni (which is refundable), and Rs. 4000 for uniform.

Review from the student itself.
Placements: In our college, almost 95% of the batch gets placed through on-campus placements. The average package offered to students is around 6 LPA and the highest package has gone up to 15 LPA. Every student in the first year gets an internship after completing the first semester. Few MNCs and some local companies come for placements.
Infrastructure: The college has AC classrooms, digital screens, and more than 10,000 books in the library. There is a good computer lab in the college, and there is a canteen for food, where a variety of food is available for affordable prices. We also have a first aid room where you can rest or take medicine, along with boys common room and girls common room to play indoor games like table tennis, pool, and carrom.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Some of our teachers are from the industry, have a Ph.D., and have good experience in teaching. All teachers are approachable and always ready to help students. We also have faculty mentors. The course curriculum is designed by Mumbai University. Beyond the syllabus, our college also arranges guest sessions, business conferences, and business conclaves.
Other: I am a commerce student and want to pursue a career in finance, so I decided to go for an MBA in Finance. There is a huge crowd during lunch breaks in the canteen, and the waiting time is long. For events, we have an annual fest and business conclaves every year. Beyond that, we celebrate other festivals too.

MBA people with lack of extracurricular activity.
Placements: Good placements with industry average package, ROI is good, able to grab higher package with right skillset as there’s a lot of opportunities provided to students. Top roles offered were in marketing & sales from FMCG and banks. Lucky ones who have hands-on coding can blend at Analytics role.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped with air conditioners, fireproof, digital screens with all wall speakers. Library has enough books for daily lectures. Hostels are well maintained but food isn’t included, electricity is free with washing machines. Only 2-occupant rooms were available.
Faculty: Professors were well qualified but not all of them. Courses are designed as per market demand with lots of learning material provided during lectures, which are real-life cases. Exams were somewhat tough as scoring is never easy, but it all depends on your professor.
Other: RBA is demanded right now in the market as every company is moving towards Analytics and data.
