Mysore University MTech Admission Process 2024: How to Apply?
University of Mysore MTech course admission include multiple steps, such as registration, selection, merit list and counselling. Admission for some of the MTech specialisations will be through KEA. Below are step-wise admission details for the University of Mysore MTech course:
STEP 1: Mysore University MTech Application Process 2024
Candidates can apply by filling out the online form. Eligible aspirants irrespective of their category have to pay INR 1,000 separately for the entrance exam and INR 2,000 for group subjects. Aspirants need to pay INR 400 as an application fee for PG courses. Candidates applying for MTech also have to fill out the KEA application form. The step-by-step process for application form filling and submission is as follows:
Step 1.1: Visit the official website of the University of Mysore, https://www.uompgadmissions.com/.
Step 1.2: Click on 'PG Admissions' and register with the basic details.
Step 1.3: Login to fill out the application and upload the documents.
Step 1.4: Pay the application fee and submit the form.
STEP 2: Selection
Candidates are selected for the MTech course based on the PGEE (Postgraduate Entrance Exam) score conducted by the university. Further, aspirants can apply with GATE or Karnataka PGCET. The university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates.
STEP 3: Seat Allotment
Once selected, candidates are called for document verification and KEA Counselling. The students who are selected have to submit the admission fee to confirm their seats. IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam.
