Is CAT required for MBA in USTM?

The department of Business Administration, USTM offers two years full time MBA (approved by AICTE) programme. Admission to MBA programme done on basis of entrnace exams followed by a Personal Interview (PI) & Group Discussion (GD) at the university campus. The entrance exam for MBA is optional like candiates can appear for CAT/MAT/XMAT or they can write the university based entrance exam USTM-CAT. Candidates having valid scorecards of CAT/MAT/XMAT etc. will be exempted from USTM-CAT and such candidates may directly appear for PI & GD. The final merit list for admission in MBA will be prepared considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, score of USTM-CAT/MAT/CAT/XMAT and marks obtained in PI & GD.

USTM does offers Degree in regional language i.e. Khasi, Assamese and Garo. The university offers Postgraduate level programme in Khasi, Assamese and Garo. The programme covers duration of two years. To get into the programme candidates must posses 45% aggregate (5% Relaxation for reserved categories). The tuition fee ranges from INR 60,000 to INR 68,000.
