CUET Geography Syllabus

CUET Geography Syllabus

CUET Geography Syllabus 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the CUET 2026 Syllabus for the subjects of all three sections (Section I including Language Paper, Section II including 23 CUET Domain Subjects, and Section III including General Aptitude Test) on its official website - cuet.nta.nic.in. The Geography exam is part of Section II and includes topics like Transport, Communication and Trade, Human Settlements, Human Geography, and so on. Candidates planning to get admission in a UG course that requires Geography as one of the test subjects must understand the CUET 2026 Geography Syllabus in detail and review previous years' papers to get an idea of the difficulty level of CUET Exam.

NTA conducts the Common University Entrance Test (UG) annually. The exam is held to offer admission to candidates in undergraduate programmes in 200+ universities across India. CUET 2026 will be conducted in the second week of May 2026 (tentative). Candidates preparing for the Geography 2026 exam can download the CUET UG Geography Syllabus PDF here.

Q:   How many CUET exam centres can I choose?
A:

Candidates can choose upto four exam cities of their choice while filling the CUET application form. NTA will try best to allot the city of examination to the candidates in the order of preference opted by them in their CUET 2026 application form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted to the candidates. Choice of CUET 2026 centre city will be limited to the State of Permanent Address or State of Present Address only. In case, there are very few candidates from a particular CUET exam centre city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.

Candidates will have the oppurtunity to choose the exam city while filling the CUET application form 2026. Candidates must carefully choose the exam cities. No request for change in exam centre will be entertained once the admit cards are issued.

Q:   Are NCERT books enough to cover CUET syllabus?
A:

NTA has mentioned that CUET UG 2026 syllabus will adhere to NCERT syllabus. Hence, it can be assumed that the NCERT books are enough to cover the syllabus of the CUET UG exam. Candidates must note that, CUET exam tests students' understanding of the subject concepts and ability to apply them in various situations.

The CUET UG syllabus is similar with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.
