Review of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University [VBSPU].

Placements: In our college, we are provided with a central training placement cell with poor working faculty members in it. Students of our college got good placements in 2018 with the highest salary package of 8 LPA and the lowest salary package of 1.2 LPA. But after the pandemic, situations are going down. Students got placements but not with good salary packages. In the session 2021-2022, very few students got placed yet, although placement drives are still in progress.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and there are neat, clean and spacious classrooms. Classes of the first year are held in the main building whereas 2nd year students are shifted to the building of their department. There are two libraries here, i.e., a central library and a library for the engineering department, where you can find some useful books. Hostel facilities are good here, and students are provided with a hostel. A separate hostel for every year is provided. There is Vishwakarma hostel (1 year), Charak hostel (2/3 year) and CV Raman hostel (2/3 and 4). The food served in the mess is average only. Students can't depend on Wi-Fi in hostels. Sports events are held from time to time in the hostel as well as in the stadium. Some labs are good, but the situation of some labs is really not good.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members here are postgraduates or doctorate degree holders. Qualifications of teachers are high with average teaching. Semester examinations are held after two internal exams. The difficulty level of exams mostly depends on your way of studying.

Supportive and feel free for education in this university

Placements: Around 30% students were placed. Good faculty members for computer science and placements are good for them. Practical labs are in particular trades including a workshop. The best part of the university is a workshop organized on a regular basis. In the hall of fame for our university is Ankit Fadia, an ethical hacker who has taken a workshop in our university.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure has developed really well than it was previously. Banking facilities are within the campus with separate labs for all kinds of practicals. Hostel facilities were very good with a separate hostel for each year students. Net facilities were the best and with a great speed. Sports facilities were good with a separate stadium and auditorium.

Faculty: Supportive faculty members who are well qualified. Practical-based knowledge laid down the emphasis. Separate departments for each and every course offered in the university. Minimum qualifications for faculty members are master graduation in their particular field. Professors from Delhi University and many scientific professors are there who have won prizes in the field of search in bio and were adding stars to the faculty team.

Enriched exposure with low quality of teachers.

Placements: In my batch, only self-placements were observed while in the senior batch, there were some in the IT department. Students have been placed. Seniors placed were 10%. No idea of the salary package grabbed. No companies visited for my batch. Software developer roles were offered for seniors. None of the students got an internship from the college and there was no stipend involved.

Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi availability but LAN connection was there. LAN had an average speed of 8 to 12 Mbps and was provided in each room. There was a lack of medical facilities. Labs were good enough with adequate equipment and machinery. There is a large sports ground on the campus in which most of the national level games were organised from time to time. Food quality is not very good. Hostel rooms were sufficient in space and area. A good environment in the hostel as a whole is there.

Faculty: The experience with faculty members was not good enough. Only the head of the department and one or two faculty members were properly qualified. They had the proper knowledge and teaching skills. Student-faculty ratio was 240:7 in the mechanical department and 1440:40 in the whole engineering department. We got industrial exposure and it was the best time I ever had. The curriculum was based on the UPTU pattern and thus a little useful.

Other: I have mixed reviews for this college. Though, the campus facilities and exposure which it provides through its events is fabulous but the placements are just average. The fee structure at my time of joining was very high, due to which I feel the college is not worth the money. The faculty is not up to the mark and even the college crowd is not so great. I will not recommend this college to others.

Igniting minds, shaping the future.

Placements: 50% of students placed in my course. The highest average package was 5 LPA, and the lowest average package was 2.5 LPA in my course. The top recruiting companies were Tata and Reliance. Around 40 to 50% of students got internships from my course as engineers.

Infrastructure: Facilities were well and good in my college. The infrastructure was good. There was a well-stocked library and good Wi-Fi. Classrooms had digital boards. There were canteens, labs, a sports ground, and a clean campus with a good environment. Hostel and mess facilities were also available.

Faculty: Teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. They understood our topics very easily. They were very cooperative with us and used simple language to clear our doubts. They maintained discipline in class and handled chaotic situations well. In my college, there were semester exams.

Other: I chose this because I want to become an engineer.
