B.Sc. fashion design at VIT Chennai.

Placements: Almost 50% of students studying B.Sc. fashion design got placed in VIT Chennai. The highest package is around 10 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3 LPA. Companies like Myntra, Bombay Dyeing, Aditya Birla Group, etc., come for placements and internships.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi for hostelers throughout the campus. We have labs for pattern making, garment construction, and CAD. Mess service in the hostel is good with options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We also have a Domino's and Lassi House on campus.

Faculty: All teachers are qualified and most of them have Ph.D. The curriculum is relevant to the industry demands. Semester exams are easy but it takes effort to crack them. If you study you score marks, otherwise you will fail in your subjects.

Other: There are many events, fests, and extracurricular activities on the campus. Scholarship opportunities for fashion design department (VFIT) are relatively lower than for other departments which should be improved.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination / HSC / Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination with minimum overall aggregate of the mentioned marks in the qualifying examination from a recognized board.

Applicants hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura passed with 50% minimum aggregate as per the condition, in the qualifying examination mentioned above.

Candidates with senior secondary school examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board can also apply for the course.

Candidate who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.

There is no age limit for doing B.Sc, you can do B.Sc only, if you have passed your intermediate.

Hello.I got 78% in10th and 57% in 12th.Can I get a seat in vit vellur.

No, the minimum criteria is 60% in class 12th PCM. I am sorry, you won't be able to sit for counselling, thus you won't be able to get a seat. Please check for other colleges.
