Excellent in academics, extracurricular activities, and culturals.
Placements: Above 95 percent of students got placed. There are more than 500 companies with top packages. Every student finds a new job where they can stand up with their knowledge gained and their own skills and talents. They gain more experience and they can also survive in the future.
Infrastructure: All multi-facilities are available. Classrooms are well-equipped. The gym, hotel, salon, bank, supermarket, and everything inside a campus is just amazing. The campus has a very eco-friendly atmosphere with a peaceful environment, full of green, and the places are very comfortable.
Faculty: Academics are top-notch. Every faculty member is very kind, humble, and supportive. The semester exams are way easier if people understand the concept and can easily apply it in the exam. There are no complications. All the faculty help everyone to the best to help students learn.

Review about VIT: A place to learn and a chance to grow.
Placements: I am from Integrated M.Tech software engineering. VIT has not only been a place to learn and grow but also taught me how to dream big, think outside the box, and showcase my event. VIT has always been known for its vibrant culture and tremendous academic excellence. The placements in Vit are very strong and around 90 percent of students get a job after finishing the degree which is phenomenal. Additionally students also get placed in companies like Microsoft, Intel, Amazon, Deloitte, and other dream companies and the numbers increase every year.
Infrastructure: The campus is pretty huge. It's around 192 acres. They have more than 250 clubs which we can enroll in. And the classrooms are very huge and comfortable. Also the campus promotes greenery. It has trees and plants planted across the campus. They have more than 10 different canteens to eat and have a gym, swimming pool, and whatnot.
Faculty: The teachers I would say are mentors. They have professors who have graduated from top colleges like IIT and NITs and most of the teachers here are Ph.D. holders. Even foreign teachers work here which gives the students a lot of exposure. Also a few professors here have worked in companies and then they decided to teach students like us and they resigned. Those types of professors are a lot here. Learning from them will not only make us understand the subject but will also help us understand the current job market and that real-life skills can be learnt.
Other: Students from more than 15 different countries study here which makes the environment a really great place. I'm an American studying here and I've absolutely learnt a lot and had the best time of my life here in VIT.

VIT Chennai in 2026 worth it or not.
Placements: VIT Chennai make sure that every student will get placed. So the placement is 100 percent but there is a cache. If your CGPA is below 8, then you will get placed at low packages like 3.5 LPA. If you are lucky then maybe you will get above 6 LPA. Your grades are much more important in this college than your skill. Many companies will give you above 20 LPA package if your CGPA is 8.5 or above.
Infrastructure: Overall facilities are really good. In the hostel the infrastructure is good except the Wi-Fi which is very slow and it is turned off after 12:00 AM till 4:00-5:00 AM. If anything needs to be repaired in your room. You just need to put the complaint on the website and within a few hours a technician will come and fix your issue. There are so many restrictions in the hostel. You have to be inside the hostel building before 9:00 PM and you can't play table tennis after 9:00 PM as it may disturb other students.
Faculty: Academic pressure is really high in VIT. In one semester you have to give 3 exams. In one of the exams they ask you to bring your handwritten notes in the exam but the exam is really tough so it is barely helpful. There is a relatively strict grading system so there is a huge competition among students. Class average is really important to get good grades. If you are a category 5 student then you have extra pressure to get good marks as you have literally paid more than 25 lakhs for 4 years.
Other: The course is good except for a few courses which are not necessary to be included like Indian studies.

To know more about VIT Chennai.
Placements: Placement is decent for CSE-related branches. The median and average are around 9-10 LPA. Meanwhile, for core branches, it's around 7-8 LPA. During the recession, it might have been a bit low, but it's above average compared to other private institutions, and thus you can consider joining.
Infrastructure: Hostel and mess quality are very good. There are some rules and restrictions, but it's for students' own good. In-time is around 9 PM for boys and 8 PM for girls, and the food quality is above average. It's good compared to other colleges and has varieties for veg and non-veg.
Faculty: Faculty members are mixed, but most of them are good and helpful. Exams might be somewhat hectic on the other hand, as you will have to be consistent in daily studies to maintain a good GPA. There are two types of exams: 1) 2 CATs (Continuous Assessment Test) of 50 each, and 2) 1 FAT (Final Assessment Test) of 100 marks.
Other: There are mostly daily events, and exposure is very good. If you're an extrovert, you're in heaven. Fests are also good. There are two types of fests: 1) Technical Fest TechnoVIT and 2) Cultural Fest Vibrance.

Extremely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Mostly 50% of the students will get placed in my course. The highest package offered in our course is 33 LPA by Amazon and PayPal, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA by TCS. 50% of the students get internships from our course from more companies that offer software engineer and developer roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is far better than that of other colleges. The campus is clean and green. There are more security measures in place, and the library is spacious with many useful books for the students. There are also many blocks of hostels, which are very convenient for the students who stay in them.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful, and they teach us properly. We can ask doubts whenever we need. They help us with our projects, develop our skills, and guide us in publishing papers and patents.

Review by batch 2025 passout.
Placements: About 80% students were placed in our 2025 batch. The highest package was around 1 Cr, and the lowest around 1-2 LPA, and the average must be around 5 LPA. ION Group, Accenture, TCS, and Cognizant were the companies with the highest recruitment on campus. SWE and Analyst roles were the most offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi goes out after 12 A.M. Food quality was based on how much money you are willing to pay. The library was congested during exam times. Classrooms were okayish. Quality of facilities were 7-10, you have to find your own good faculty members to get good grades. Good canteen for snacks.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and qualified. The course curriculum was relevant, and you can choose the subjects you want in your 3rd and 4th years. Exams were not that difficult if you have all the resources to read and learn from, and if you write an ample amount of answers, you will get marks.
