SGGSCC has the best commerce and finance society in DU.
Placements: Out of all the DU colleges that have a Sikh Community Quota, SGGSCC is perhaps the best. If academics are the best, nobody will rate it the best. Even if academics are the best, people still won't rate it the best. But because the placements of our college are the best among its peers, it's the best college. The annual recruitment drive for our batch is on, and hopefully, the previous highest placements, which were in the range of 20–24 LPA, will be broken this year.
Infrastructure: The college only has a girls' hostel. There is no boys' hostel. Most students are from Delhi or Punjab. Punjabi is the second most spoken language on campus. Even the canteen and medical staff are from Punjab. The overall infrastructure of our college lacks nothing apart from a boys' hostel.
Faculty: Lovely people. Most of our faculty members are so down to earth. Even after having such high-profile teaching posts in DU and having such magnificent degrees, they are so helpful. I have not seen any of my faculty members going and boasting about their achievements. Thus, they are the real heroes. They believe teaching is their Karma. They teach us as if their life depends on it.
Other: Ecothon, hosted by Economics Hons students, and Monexus, which is our commerce society's annual fest, are as good as any top fests.

It's a very good college if you want to continue in the commerce field.
Placements: The placement process is pretty well organised. They keep students informed about all company requirements and various things needed when signing up for different companies. A lot of Big Four companies come to campus, like Deloitte, PwC, EY, etc. Other companies like Bain & Co., Blinkit, TresVista, etc. also visit.
Infrastructure: All classrooms have air conditioning, which works 24/7. Along with that, we have a state-of-the-art library, which has multiple floors, and an amazing auditorium. The infrastructure of this college is honestly better than most of the colleges I’ve seen on the Delhi University campus so far.
Faculty: Some teachers are genuinely so dedicated to teaching and passionate about it. They somehow make even boring concepts like accounting fun and make you want to attend the classes. Professors are knowledgeable and often bring in their real industry experience into a seemingly normal class.
Other: I think placements and infrastructure are the best parts of this college. Along with the various societies, some of which are very active and fun to be a part of.

Overall, I would say the college is amazing and is a Tier 1 DU college focused on commerce.
Placements: Placements are definitely one of the best aspects of SGGSCC. Companies like KPMG, EY, and PwC visit the campus, along with companies offering roles in finance, consulting, and marketing. The placement cell provides students with opportunities and preparation sessions.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. It has well maintained classrooms, a library, & computer labs. The downside is that campus is small compared to other DU colleges. It is spread over 10 acres. The canteen is fine. The sports facilities are not the best.
Faculty: Faculty is quite knowledgeable and helpful. The teaching experience is mixed from teacher to teacher. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty. They are manageable with consistent studying. Some subjects can feel more theoretical than practical. Teachers are supportive.

SGGSCC is the best-located college of DU.
Placements: The TPC (Training & Placements Cell) at SGGSCC is highly rated. It has managed to place its students in top conglomerates. From guest sessions to seminars, various such events are organized at our college to ensure students learn about the corporate world. Companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, and others regularly hire students from our college at packages ranging from 5 to 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: A girls' hostel with around 60-65 rooms and a capacity of over 100 girls is available in our college. The only issue with the hostel is that the closing time of the hostel is very conservative. There is a medical room and superior labs in our college. Sports facilities are also brilliant. Academic halls and classrooms are also magnificent.
Faculty: Our faculty members aren't trained but are people who have learned everything on their own. Such experience of theirs is something which I want to bank upon. Our faculty members are undoubtedly among the best in business. Their teaching is magnificent, and so is their understanding of students.
Other: I have been associated with various college societies. Even in my final year, when most students leave the societies, I have continued.

A very good college for commerce with great growth potential.
Placements: I'm currently pursuing a B.Com. I will graduate 2028. The placement ecosystem is very strong. 70–80% of students who register with the Training and Placement Cell eventually secure jobs.
Infrastructure: The academic and physical infrastructure at SGGSCC is easily one of the finest in Delhi University. Our department classrooms are fully air-conditioned and well ventilated. They are equipped with modern projectors. Campus-wide Wi-Fi is available for daily coursework.
Faculty: Faculty at SGGSCC is qualified. They are highly knowledgeable and deeply approachable. Most professors hold PhDs or are active research scholars. They bring expertise in corporate law, taxation, accounting, & financial management. Their teaching is practical.
Other: I chose because it aligns with my future goals.

College tour of SGGSCC, DU.
Placements: The placement cell regularly shares opportunities. It keeps students updated about eligibility and application processes. For commerce students, the common roles include Audit Associate, Analyst, Tax Associate, Finance Executive, and Business Analyst. The opportunities are good. However, the final result depends heavily on individual preparation.
Infrastructure: The food quality in the canteen surprises me in a good way. It is not the typical college food. The meals are actually nutritious and taste good. There is a great variety every day. Cleanliness and hygiene are also maintained across the canteen. Air conditioning is also available.
Faculty: It is a mixed bag, honestly. Some professors are brilliant and know their subject. Others just rely on old notes year after year. The curriculum touches on the right topics, but execution in class could be better. Income Tax and Cost Accounting exams are tougher. The pass rate drops to around 75% for those. Core academics are fine, just not consistent.

Top-class SGGSCC. The overall vibe, culture, people, faculty, and infrastructure.
Placements: Nearly 70–80% of students from my course get placed in our college. The highest package was around 36 LPA. The lowest was around 4 LPA. The average package is around 7–8 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our course are EY, Deloitte, PwC, Bain & Company, and so on. Top roles offered in our course are Consulting, Financial Analyst, Equity Research, and so on.
Infrastructure: Just relax when you talk about the infrastructure of our college. It's top-notch and really good. You can't imagine that at times we have to switch off our fans because of the centralized AC, even in scorching heat. The quality of food and its price are good. I would recommend you try our peri fries.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful. Apart from being academically helpful, they also help us in our day-to-day lives. They guide us in every way possible. They are always ready to solve our doubts. The course curriculum is pretty good. I think more practical understanding would make it even better, and I feel the curriculum is gradually improving over time.
Other: I really feel lucky to get SGGSCC because of the type of individuals you'll meet here. Faculty and teachers are all just too good. Mentally, you'll be happy and enjoy the best phase of your life. Amazing things will come up at SGGSCC, both academically and socially.

Placements: In terms of placements, almost 80–85% of the B.Com (H) students were placed. The highest salary package reached 26.8 LPA. The lowest package is 2.5–3 LPA. The average package is 5.6–6 LPA. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, & Wipro are recruiters. Roles include Financial Analyst, Investment Banking Analyst, & Audit/Taxation Associate.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. All classes are equipped with centralized AC. There is Wi-Fi, advanced computer labs, and a well-stocked library, along with a spacious cafeteria. A Café Coffee outlet is also available. For sports, it boasts top-tier facilities. These include a professional cricket ground, basketball courts, etc.
Faculty: B.Com (H) faculty at SGGSCC is highly qualified. They are approachable. They use modern teaching aids to ensure excellent teaching quality. The curriculum follows the updated Delhi University NEP framework. It blends core subjects with practical skills. The college offers practical add-on training in real-world tools like Excel, Web Development, etc.
Other: The best part of B.Com (H) at SGGSCC is the highly cooperative environment. There are direct Big 4 placement opportunities. The peer crowd is highly driven. The college also has elite extracurriculars like the FIC, FMA, Misbah dance society, etc.

- Register and ApplyInterested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses. Application registration fee for various categories - UR/OBC) – Rs.150 SC/ST/PwD – Rs.75 Sports/ECA quota - Rs.100
- Course and College SelectionCut-off list for each college, course and reservation category would be published on the university portal. Candidates meeting the requisite cut-offs, has to select the desired course and college on DU admission portal.

Hi Ronak,
You can do bachelor course after 10th, there are few universities which as BPP plus BA, BPP plus B.Com and BPP plus BBA option so if you want to do any bachelor program which I mentioned can be done through distance learning University. Only few universities have this BPP course.

Yes, Maths is compulsory for B.Com (H) in DU. You should have Maths either as an additional subject (6th subject) or optional subject (5th subject) in class 12th. All the best.
