Overall it's a very nice college for higher education.

Placements: Different MNC, AMC and Also the big 4's and many more companies gives the opportunity to the students of our college of getting placements in different ranks with nice CTC. The faculty members will help you regarding every issue, they will make you aware of the process, so overall it's a very good college for placements .

Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of our college and also the hostel is very good, the building and classes are perfectly maintained. Overall it's a great place for higher education, so if you are still thinking about the admission and if you got the opportunity to study there, then just go for it.

Faculty: Co-curriculum activities are very good in our college, there is a wide range of activities are their starting from singing to sports, very much diversified. Along with your studies, if you have the interest in other co curriculum activities then it's the college for you.

Other: Various events also take place in our college in an education year with the purpose of keeping the students much more relaxed and internally refreshed so that they can focus on their studies without any sort of problem.

It is an excellent college in academics.

Placements: This is one of the best colleges in Kolkata. Many students are passed out from this college. Placements here are very good. Generally, students scoring above 80% to 90%in main subjects were enrolled.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is awesome. There is a library that will dive you into the joy of learning. Annual sports function is also held. Classrooms have good infrastructure. I don't know about hostel life because I am a days scholar. But I hope it may be good because our college provides all the facilities which are beneficial to the students.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. This college proves to be one of the best colleges in Kolkata because of its studies. The course curriculum is relevant and helpful to the students.

With a great campus life, faculty and placements, St Xaviers College, Kolkata is a place to be!

Placements: St. Xavier's College has a very active placement cell. Placement opportunities for especially the commerce graduates and post graduates are really good. Other departments also get placement assistance. Big four companies viz Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and EY come every year with a good package (average of 4 lakhs p.a.) to start the career with. Various other companies also visit the campus. It is the reputation of St Xavier's College, Kolkata to which the companies get attracted. Internship is a compulsory thing in our curriculum. So every student should go for internship in their field of specialisation for a minimum period of 1 month.

Infrastructure: St. Xavier's College has a very good infrastructure as everyone is well aware of. Wifi is available for the students as well as the staffs. Also, we have got cyber rooms in which we can go and surf the net with the help of our cyber card. It has well-equipped labs and observatory. AC classrooms are also available for some departments and overall the classrooms are always neat and clean. St Xavier's College's central library is very well known in Kolkata. Many books from different categories are available. The library is very well maintained. It has a hospital for emergencies and the first aid kit is available at any time. We celebrate our annual fest "Xavostav" with great enthusiasm in the month of January every year which is known as the biggest fest in Eastern India. Besides studies, games and sports are given equal importance. We have annual sports week and every student takes part in it. Canteen's food is good- not that tasty but the quality is very good. It doesn't affect the health of a student. Being a Xavier's hostelite, I feel very privileged because we have excellent rooms, good care. Moreover, we also celebrate annual hostel fest every year which is known as "Cofradia" with is a mixture of sports, dance and music.

Faculty: Coming to the faculty members, they are very caring and helpful. Everyone is well qualified and knowledgeable. We have audio visual smart classes which help a student to understand really faster. The course curriculum is really useful. It will definitely help a student's future. We have an industry visit in our curriculum which is also a very useful step taken to enhance the practical knowledge of a student.

Other: Crowd is so good in the college. Campus is cool and there are many facilities like Wi-Fi and labs. An equal weight age is given to both 50% external and internal examination. This college is up to mark in quality teaching. Lab instructors teaches well and teachers were very good and at last I say it was a wonderful college and wonderful life for me.

Other: Best college of India for commerce, great faculty like Dr. Sanjeeb Kumar Basu, Haneef Mukherjee. College timing was perfect, consistency of results, placement packages. Experienced faculty. Big 4 audit firms visit here every year and offer handsome amount. Internship is mandatory and you have to complete it in 3rd semester which gives you corporate exposure. Along with internship you also have to go under the project work under a faculty.

I am from pure science and will pass out class 12th next year. Can I do M.Com course? Is the shift from science to commerce possible?

Hi Nilofar, After passing 12th, you can't opt for N.Com. It's a postgraduate course. You can do B.Com. Yes, from science, you can shift to commerce and as you have pure science, and maths. So, there won't be any problem to avail a commerce subject. All the best.

Hi Raj, St. Xavier's College's admission procedure only has online application. There is no provision for offline form fill up. Keep looking for the form in the college website from end of April. Also, check the St. Xavier's University website. All the best.
