Academic Block

There are various academic blocks for different departments. These blocks have libraries, auditoriums, computer labs, smart classrooms and solid furniture. Lifts are also present in each block. The hygiene of the classrooms and washrooms is properly taken care of. Drinking water is available on every floor.

Hostels

Hostels are available for both boys and girls, with a mess inside. The gym is also a part of the hostel facility. All the rooms are spacious and are cleaned daily. The bathrooms are common, and there is a drinking water facility available on every floor.

Yes, students can get hostels at Chandigarh University. There are separate and safe hostels facilities are provided to all the male and female students. Library

There is a library in every academic block for each department. Other than that, there is a central library, which is the largest one. Any student can visit and study there. There are a variety of books, newspapers, and magazines to study.

Computer Labs

Computer or IT labs are available for students to practically apply what they have learned in Coding. These labs are available in every academic block. 

Playground

There is a large playground for students to play games and sports like football, cricket, volleyball, and more. There is a separate basketball court as well. Students are encouraged to engage in roller skating, badminton and other games too.

Mess

A mess is there in every hostel. There is a common mess as well, where food facilities are available for the day scholars on a paid basis. The food is served four times a day, and the menu keeps changing with time. Nonveg is served twice a week at dinner. The meal is chosen while keeping in mind the nutrition it serves. The hygiene is taken care of and the caterer serves food with gloves on.

Food outlet

There are various food outlets available on campus. Students get to taste a variety of dishes, be it fast food or local cuisine. Food courts with sitting arrangements are also there for students to sit in and eat. There are various fast food zones like Dominos, Subway and Nescafe along with other spots.

Security

The university is equipped with CCTV cameras across the campus. There are guards at every gate, and the students residing in the hostel are not allowed to leave the campus without taking permission from the warden. The guards check the out pass before letting any student leave the campus. All the entries of the visitors are recorded with their contact details and the purpose of their coming.

Others

There are a lot of events and celebrations that take place on campus. Fresher parties, Tech fests, music fests, DJ nights, Tashan nights, cultural fests and other occasions are celebrated on the campus. Many sports events and competitions, both academic and non-academic are organised to encourage students to showcase their talents. The college also has an anti-ragging policy. Overall, the students get to experience a healthy and lively environment.
