For simple and comfortable academics, Jamia Millia Islamia offers its students a wide range of amenities. The facilities at JMI New Delhi include a computer centre, boys' and girls' dormitories, a cafeteria, a gym, a hospital, an auditorium, departmental labs, and a sports complex with equipment for all major sports and exercise facilities. The site is home to the JMI New Delhi hostels for both boys and girls. The Jamia Millia Islamia campus has Wi-Fi, enabling students to access the internet anytime and from any location. There are laboratories for computers, electricity, languages, civil engineering, physics, chemistry, and more.

Getting a hostel in JMI is very difficult because of the limited seats. There is a gym, canteens, reading rooms, common rooms, etc in the hostel. There is a total of 7 boys’ hostels in Jamia across 2 campuses. The hostel campus is near to engineering campus. Hostel fees for areas mentioned above are around INR 7K for the first year and then 5K per year. And mess fees are around INR 4,500 for 2 months. You get a non-veg menu 5 times a week. Also, there is a veg menu available with non-veg. There are grounds on each hostel campus. The dispensary is near the hostel (just 5 mins walk). All online shopping delivery is available inside the hostel.

There are 2 halls of girls' residence, one is new and is within the campus and another old one is at some distance. There is one boys' residence hall. Their halls consist of 4-5 hostel buildings. The rooms have beds, mattresses, a study table, a side table with a mirror, and a separate cupboard. 24-hour Wi-Fi facility, water coolers on each floor, reading hall, TV room and mess. Veg and non-veg meals are provided; breakfast, lunch and dinner with a great restaurant-type menu provided at the mess. Quality is great and so is the staff. One has to apply for a hostel after admission through the JMI website and followed by an interview. The selected candidates' list is published and hostels are allotted. One should always try their best to get selected for the Jamia Millia Islamia hostel as it is the best place where students can live comfortably and study. There are many rooms on rent and PGs available near the hostel in Okhla, Batla House area.

The meal quality is excellent with foods that include non-veg and veg options. The registration process includes applying for hostels, the person will then be called for an interview with the local guardians. Upon selection, the admission charge for the hostel is to be paid which is INR 15,000 for six months.
Rooms: Hostel rooms comprise 3-seater, and 4-seater rooms and Dormitories (for Jamia school residents). Hostels in campus B comprises 3-seater rooms and 2-seater rooms for specially-abled Students.
Mess: The variety of food they give is awesome like chicken biryani, Chhole puri, and a variety of vegetables too like capsicum, potatoes, okra etc.
Other facilities:
- Being a central university, it provides 20 more courses apart from engineering. Hence, those students too need hostels. The hostel strength for each stream is limited. For B.Tech, there are about 120 seats.
- The hostels are top-notch, even better than many IITs and NITs.
- Three students have to share a single room.
- Some of the hostels are BR Ambedkar, Alama, Kellat, SRK, FRK etc.
- One can expect a room partner from branches such as diploma, BA, and Turkish studies.
- Each hostel is provided with a separate mess and gym.
- There are lush green lawns and all-night canteens in front of every hostel.
- Hostel fee is INR 6,000 to be paid in 3 instalments and the mess fee is INR 2,000 per month.
- There is a newly constructed masjid for Muslims to offer prayers near Kellat Hostel.
- Mess food is good compared to other colleges. Students are given Biryani twice a week. Sweets, omelettes, tea and stuff like chowmein are also given. Even non-veg food is given twice or thrice a week.
- There is a large playground for playing cricket, volleyball etc.
- Rest of the students have to find their own accommodation in nearby areas like Jamia Nagar, Okhla, Subhash Nagar and NFC. Rent rates range from INR 4,000 to INR 14,000.
