Jamia Milia Islamia offers an MSc programme for a two-year duration in more than 19 specialisations. These MSc specialisations are offered under several departments in both regular and self-financed mode. A few of the MSc specialisations are also offered in the evening shift. The University conducts an entrance test, namely JMI Entrance Exam for MSc admissions.

Jamia Milia Islamia MSc Admission 2021: Highlights

Jamia admissions to all the MSc specialisations is based on a candidate's performance in the University-conducted entrance exam called Jamia Milia Islamia Entrance Exam. The JMI Entrance Exam is conducted annually in offline mode at seven examination centres, including Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Srinagar and Kolkata. The application window for Jamia Milia Islamia MSc admission generally opens in May every year. A few important details regarding Jamia MSc admissions along with the annual fee are mentioned below:

Jamia Milia Islamia MSc Admission 2021

The University offers over 19 specialisations under the MSc programme. It is a two-year course, admission to which is conducted through an entrance test conducted by the University, followed by a PI round. Jamia Milia Islamia Seat Reservation 2021

Jamia Milia Islamia offers seat reservation in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. The details regarding the same are enlisted below:

  • If seats remain vacant in the categories of women applicants and OBC-NCL, then those seats will be transferred to the Muslim minority category.
  • No seats are available in the BDS course for Kashmiri Migrants and candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir
  • For BArch programme, no seats are available for foreign candidates
  • NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% and 2%, respectively in the aggregate of the qualifying examination.

Jamia Milia Islamia Scholarships 2021

The University offers several scholarships on a merit and needs basis. The details regarding some of the JMI scholarships are given below:

  • Jamia Merit Scholarship: The top scorers of the respective exams are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Merit Scholarship for the Centre of Management: This scholarship is given to MBA first and second-semester students. The top scorers of semester exams are awarded this scholarship.
  • SC/ST/OBC Scholarship: This scholarship is given to the reserved category candidates. Economically weak candidates are also eligible for this scholarship.
  • Scholarship for International Exchange Programme: Candidates who are selected for the International Exchange Programme are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is offered by the Centre for Management Studies.
