The University of Mumbai is a premier university in India. Mumbai University is one of the first 3 universities established in India in the year 1857. The university is accorded a 5-star status in 2021& ‘A’ grade in 2012 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Hello candidate, Mithibai College, St Xavier's College Mumbai, Changu Kana Thakur College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Birla College of Arts Commerce and Science, and Shri Sindh Thakurnath SST College of Arts and Commerce are some of the popular affiliated colleges of Mumbai University for MA admission. A few university-affiliated colleges accept department-specific entrance tests or conduct GDPI for admission to MA. University of Mumbai Infrastructure

  • Mumbai University has a well-equipped library with approximately 22,000 books and 20,000 e-books, along with 700 digital media content. They provide a regular subscription to 90 journals and periodicals. 
  • Mumbai University provides access to information on the industrial database. 
  • Mumbai University has computer labs, language labs, and access to statistical software for research (SPSS), all powered with Wi-Fi connectivity. 
  • The campus has air-conditioned classrooms.

All the facilities at the campus at Kalina are accessible to the students of Mumbai University, which include access to the university Gymkhana, cricket ground, canteens and a mess, accommodation in the guest houses and hostels, Jawaharlal Nehru Library. There are multiple student committees formed at the campus such as Alumni Committee, cultural committee, Placement Committee, and artillery committee to name a few.

A:

Rizvi College of Engineering, Saraswati College of Engineering and Sardar Patel College of Engineering are some of the colleges offering BTech under MU. However, for the best options, students can select from a list of MU-affiliated BTech colleges as per their qualifying exam score/ rank and availability of specialisation. In order to pursue BTech from an MU-affiliated college, the selection is based on merit scores obtained by the students in Class 12 followed by a valid score/ rank in MHT-CET or JEE Main.
