GGSIP University

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly known as Indraprastha University (IP or IPU), is a state institution situated in Dwarka, Delhi. Formally renamed after the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh, the university has one of the largest campuses in Delhi, covering an area of 78 acres. The university contains 14 university schools (colleges of the university), 12 of which are on the campus in Dwarka and 2 schools, USAR and USDI, are on the new East Delhi campus. The government of the NCT of Delhi created Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bengaluru, gave the University an A for the years 2013 to 2018.

BTech at GGSIP University

The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers a full-time BTech programme at the undergraduate level. Candidates' success in a national entrance exam determines whether they will be admitted to the BTech programme at IP University. It is the university's premier programme, lasting four years and eight semesters. The age requirement is 21 years.

There are 7,080 total seats across all partner colleges (approx). INR 1,200 is the application fee. 90% of candidates were placed during the IPU Engineering placements in 2022.

BA LLB  at GGSIP University

Admission to the BA LLB programme at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is granted based on CLAT results to qualified candidates. For the purpose of allocating seats in the colleges of their choosing, the University conducts IPU CET Counseling for the shortlisted students. Five years and ten semesters long programme is provided by 13 IPU-accredited institutions. With all of its affiliated colleges included, IP University offers 1,670 total seats.

MBA/PGDM at GGSIP University

There are 2,620 total seats across all linked colleges under MBA at GGSIPU. The university provides a two-year MBA programme with five specialisation options. Apart from MBA in IT, the university does not administer its own entrance exam. GGSIPU administers the IPU CET for IPU MBA in IT admission, which is followed by university-level counselling. Candidates are admitted based on their CAT scores for the remaining specialisations. After counselling based on the CAT score, however, if any seats are still open, then counselling is done based on the CMAT score. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University administers the Common Entrance Exam (CET) to candidates for admission in the event when seats are still available.

As a prerequisite, a degree or its equivalent in any field with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%-60% and at least one year of post-qualification executive or professional experience is required.

The average package offered in 2020 was INR 5.12 LPA and that of 2021 was INR 5.2 LPA. Students placed in 2020 and 2021 were 141 and 114 respectively.

MBBS at GGSIP University

Qualifications: A least cumulative grade of 50% (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (core/elective/functional) from a recognised board is required.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University provides a five-and-a-half-year full-time MBBS programme in the field of medical and health sciences, which includes a one-year mandatory internship. Those applicants who are interested in MBBS admission at IPU must have a valid NEET UG score. IPU CET Counseling is used for the final seat allocation procedure. The minimum age requirement for MBBS admission is 17, and the highest age limit is 25 as of December 31 of the admission year. (Candidates from SC and ST are given a five-year relaxation.)

MCA at GGSIP University

The total number of seats across all linked colleges is 580 approximately. MCA (Full-Time) at IP University is a two-year programme, whereas MCA (Lateral Entry) is a one-year programme. The results of the NIMCET entrance exam are used to determine which candidates will be admitted to the programme. GGSIPU offers MCA through its ten affiliated colleges. A number of the IPU's affiliated universities offer the MCA programme in both lateral entry and the second (evening) shift. Eligibility criteria are a BCA or BSc in Information Technology, or BSc in Computer Science degree from a recognised university with Mathematics at HSC or graduate level and a minimum of 55% aggregate.
