Candidates seeking admission to this course need to appear for the CAT entrance test. The final selection is based on candidates' performance in the GD & PI round. Apart from a valid CAT score, students are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. To be eligible for GGSIPU MBA admission, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% to 60%.  

The CAT exam is always conducted on the last Sunday of November every year so the CAT 2024 exam is expected to be conducted on Nov 24, 2024. Official announcement of the CAT 2024 exam date will be made by the convening IIM on Jul 30, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to the GGSIPU MBA course must visit the official website of the University to apply online. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the CAT entrance examination. IPU also accepts CMAT scores. The final selection will be done on the basis of the student's performance in the Group Discussion & Personal Interview process. However, for IPU MBA in IT admission, GGSIPU conducts IPU CET, followed by a University-level counselling process. 

The application fee for MBA at GGSIPU is INR 1,500. Candidates can pay the fee in online mode through credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates also have to pay the respective national-level exam fees. The fee for CAT is INR 2,300 (for General Category) and INR 1,150 (for reserved category). CMAT exam fees is INR 2,000 for General category male and INR 1,000 for General category female and reserved category candidates. Furthermore, the IPU CET application fee is INR 1,200.

CAT application process 2024 began on August 1, 2024 at the iimcat.ac.in website. The registration process ends on September 20, 2024.

The schedule of CAT 2024 registration cum application was announced on July 28, 2024 at the iimcat.ac.in website. The notification for CAT 2024 was released at the IIMCAT websites and in all national newspapers. The last date to submit CAT application form 2024 was September 13, 2024 but was later extended to September 20, 2024.

No, CAT is not the only exam based on which admission is granted. GGSIPU accepts the CAT percentile for MBA admission basis on which a merit list of selected candidates is released for the counselling round. Moreover, for the MBA in IT course, the university conducted IPU CET exam is accepted. In case the seats are left vacant after CAT candidates, then the seat allotment is carried out based on the candidate's CMAT scores.
