Very affordable, decent college, with decent infrastructure, good opportunities, and good faculty.
Placements: Approximately 500 students were placed in the academic year of 2023-24, and 28 students from ECE were placed. The placement percentage in ECE was 46% and many students decided to do higher studies. A lot of alumni from here are in respectable positions from the civil services exam of the whole country as well as the state. The highest package offered was Rs.16.50 LPA whereas the top 10% of the class bagged an average salary package of 13 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Vedanta Resources, TCE, Tata Group, etc. 84 of the students got internships in companies like Microsoft, Google, Reliance, etc.
Infrastructure: The department facilities are very good, with various required air-conditioned labs and lecture rooms. Even a 3-storey library has been provided at the campus with a huge number of book collections in various genres. The hostel quality is pretty decent too with quite spacious rooms, especially for the fresher year, the food quality is good. Gym for the fresher and final year girls hostel and solar-powered hostels are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely qualified and very helpful with all the academic related problems and also if anyone decides to develop a skill of their own. The teaching quality is also very decent and makes it way more efficient due to the availability of books in the library. The course curriculum is pretty relevant and the internships and training help the students to be industry-ready. The semester exams are of good level and can be paced if studied properly. The pass percentage is above 85% (approximately and rough).
Other: The feels included below is the tuition fee (excluding exam fees and mess/hostel charges) for girls for the session 2024-25.

BIT Sindri review — May 2025
Placements: Almost all the students of our branch are placed already. Most of them are placed through on-campus placements, and some of them are placed through off-campus placements. The highest package was 12 LPA from TATA Steel, the average package was 7 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Old hostels have very big rooms. One room is shared by 4 roommates. But older hostels have some basic problems like poor water quality, poor washrooms, etc. A new hostel, HN.29, has been built recently, but it was also vandalized recently by seniors of our college.
Faculty: Some teachers are very supportive and happy with our career choices, but some want us to mainly focus on GATE exams only. Teachers are well qualified, most of them are Ph.D. holders, and some have also cracked the GATE exam. Semester exams can be passed easily.
Other: I have chosen this course because it provides opportunities in both the Core and IT sectors.

BIT Sindri Review by 21-25 senior.
Placements: About 50% of students are already placed in our branch. The highest package was 12 LPA from TATA Steel, while the lowest package was 3.3 LPA from TCS Ninja, and the average package was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Hitachi, Yamaha, Cognizant, and Capgemini.
Infrastructure: We have a central library that is huge and contains almost all relevant study materials. Classrooms can comfortably accommodate 40 to 50 students. Wi-Fi is not provided by our college, so we have to install our modems. The old hostels are not being maintained properly.
Faculty: While the teachers are helpful, the quality of teaching is not up to the mark. The faculty is knowledgeable, with most of them holding Ph.D. degrees and some being GATE Rankers as well. Semester exams are not very tough; one can easily pass them by doing previous years’ questions (PYQs).
Other:
I have chosen this course because it offers opportunities in both the core and IT sectors.

BIT Sindri review by a BITian.
Placements: About 50-65% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 3.3 LPA, and the average package is 6.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Hitachi, Yamaha, Cognizant, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), and Narayana.
Infrastructure: Our department has 3 classrooms and different labs like the Analog Lab, Digital Communication Lab, DSP Lab, IoT Lab, and Basic Electronics Lab. Wi-Fi is not very supportive. The library is very big and has a large number of books stored. It also has a digital library.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, like MG Tiary Sir and Jagvir Verma Sir, but some are very strict and rude. Semester exams are not too tough. One can easily pass by solving the previous year's questions and important topics. If you want to score good, just study 4-5 days before the exams.
Other: There was no cultural fest has been organized since 2017.

BIT Sindri review April 2025.
Placements: Around 60% of students are already placed in our course. Some companies are still remaining, like Dalmia and Wonder. The highest, lowest, and average packages in our branch are 12 LPA, 3.3 LPA, and 6.7 LPA, respectively. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Hitachi, Yamaha, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Reliance.
Infrastructure: We have 3 classrooms for lectures for the 2nd, 3rd, and final years, whereas 1st-year students attend their lectures in the Lecture Hall Complex. There is no Wi-Fi support provided by the college. Labs have a few number of equipment, so not all students can perform experiments. We have to perform the experiments in groups of 7-8.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders, and some of them are GATE-qualified also. Teachers like MG Tiary Sir and Jagvir Verma Sir are always ready to support us, but some teachers are very rude and strict also. The semester exams are not so tough.
Other: I have chosen this course as the semiconductor industry is going to boom in the near future.
