It is a very good college for core branches.
Placements: There is 90% placement of core branches. The college has good faculty and enough resources. There are many companies that come here for placement, like Vedanta, Tata, etc., and they offer very good packages. Internships are average. Most students get them, but it depends on your luck, skill, and English fluency.
Infrastructure: New hostel, lecture halls, club rooms, and experiment labs are being built and will be completed by September 2026. In the first year, new hostels are made. All roads and classrooms are well furnished and clean. Sports like cricket, volleyball, and football are major activities that are played.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and their teaching quality is good. They are very friendly. The semester exams are conducted by the Jharkhand board and are not too difficult if you study but don’t study overnight, questions are easy. There are 2 midterms of 10 marks and an end semester of 80 marks.
Other: In this college, core branches are good in terms of placement, salary, and resources. The mechanical branch is more dominant.

Absolutely value for money college, with a good alumni network.
Placements: Our college has one of the best placements in the core sector. Many top companies, such as AMNS, TATA Steel, ITC, Delloite, and JSL, visit our college regularly. Our college has maintained an average package of around 7.5 LPA. The mechanical and electrical engineering branches are two of the best branches of our college, with a record of 90% placements for decades.
Infrastructure: Our college has state-of-the-art infrastructure as it is the top college under the Government of Jharkhand. Our college has 31 hostels till now, and a new lecture hall complex and auditorium are being made on the campus. The work is almost done; it will be completed in just one more year, and these two will also continue working. The college doesn't provide any sort of Wi-Fi in the hostels, but there are many private operators like Jio and Airtel on campus. You can contact them, but you have to pay for it on your own.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and most of them are Ph.D. holders, but they will only help you if you show some eagerness for the work. They will help you, but you first have to fight for it and grab their attention. For each semester, you have to give three exams, mid-semester 1 and 2, and end-of-semester, along with VIVA and practical. The curriculum is very new, according to the NEP 2020.
Other: The crowd is pretty good, almost everyone on the campus scored in the good percentile in their JEE exam, and after that, they entered this college. There are more than 15 clubs on the campus. They organize some fests, but that is not that good, pretty good for a tier 2 state government college.

I am satisfied with the college placements. Our professors are also too good.
Placements: 80% of the students got placements in 2025. The highest package in my course is 12 LPA. The lowest salary is 4 LPA. Tata Steel, Adani, JSW, and Jindal Steel are recruiting companies. 20% of the students get internships at Reliance, Tata Inspire, and ITC. Roles offered are manager in company and supervisors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good as BIT Sindri is one of the oldest colleges in Jharkhand. The maintenance of the building is poor. The Wi-Fi facilities are not available. The equipment in the lab is not good. The food quality in mess is good. The facilities in hostel are also good. The sports facilities are not good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and also knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is not much related. It doesn't prepare the students for the industry. Semester exams in the college are of moderate level. The percentage of passing students is 70%.

Best campus life in BIT Sindri. You will be going to enjoy your four years.
Placements: Placements for the mechanical engineering branch are about 95-100%. The highest package varies every year, if taking about average package is about 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, JSW, JSL, and many more. The internship percentage is low but the percentage of placements is about 100% for the mechanical branch.
Infrastructure: There will not be any Wi-Fi in the hostel you have to arrange it yourself or buy a subscription for the outside. Labs are good in college. Library is also good, and all the books are available in the library related to engineering and CAT. The quality of the hostel is good. The mess of the hostel is also good. You will be going to enjoy the mess food.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are very helpful and supportive. Here, teachers are qualified as well. Semester exams are easy to pass. But you will see a very strict invigilator during examinations. You will pass the exam easily if you study for one month before the exams.

Absolutely, facilities and placements are good.
Placements: My college is Birsa Institute of Technology, and a total of 85 percent of students are placed. The minimum package is 6 LPA, and the maximum package is 18 LPA. Companies like Tata and Inspire offer internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: My college infrastructure is good, and each branch has its own department. My batch in mechanical engineering is from 2023, and my department is also good. The college campus does not have Wi-Fi, but labs, classrooms, and the library are available. My hostel is also good, but bathrooms are not good.
Faculty: My branch teachers are very helpful and provide good guidance. They are IIT passouts and good-quality teaching. They are very strict but knowledgeable. The college exams consist of two mid-semester and one end-semester. The question papers are not easy, but the quality of facilities is good.

It is the best college with a return on investment.
Placements: Our college has a good placement percentage, particularly in core branches such as Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, which have strong placement records. However, circuital branches experience a slightly lower placement scenario. Top recruiting companies are JSW, Vedanta, Adani, and Tata Steel.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very old as this college was established in 1949. Wi-Fi facility is not available in our college. Labs and classrooms are well maintained. Our college has a central library that contains over 200,000 books. We have some medical facilities in our college. Many sports and games are held in events.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly educated with all of them holding Ph.D. degrees. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is well-structured, aligning with Jharkhand Technical University (JUT) standards. This curriculum effectively prepares students for industry training. Throughout the four-year program which consists of eight semesters students take three exams each semester: two mid-semester exams and one final semester exam.
Other: This college was established in 1949 with a focus on mechanical and electrical engineering. The mechanical engineering branch has a strong reputation for placements and boasts a solid alumni network which is why I have chosen to pursue this field. All students gain admission to this college by successfully clearing the JEE main exam.

About most renowned college of Jharkhand.
Placements: Last year about 90% of students got placements in our branch of mechanical engineering of BIT, Sindri. This year almost 95% of students get placements. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Mahindra, Tata Motors, JSW, JPL, etc. About 40 to 50% of students get internship opportunities in our college. Mostly designing or managerial offered by the companies to our college students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not much good but after some years it has become better. There are 3 new hostels and a large lecture hall has been made for students. Currently, Wi-Fi facility is only available in the library but for hostels, you have to buy separate Wi-Fi. Mess food is good enough to eat. A hospital, SBI bank, a post office, and a canteen are also available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in our department. They are knowledgeable because most are Ph.D. holders from IITs or NITs. They taught us by green boards using PPTs in projectors. New education policy is deployed in the curriculum, so it is very good for industry-ready. In labs, all equipment is available.
Other: BIT Sindri is known for its core placements so I chose the mechanical branch. According to the placement scenario, it is a top branch in the college. There are about 30 clubs and societies are present.

BIT Sindri - Second to none.
Placements: Almost 70-75% of students get placed. Almost all students from core branches gets placed but students from technical branches face some difficulties in placements. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. The minimum salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies from mechanical engineering branch are Tata, Jindal Power, JSW, etc. Almost 50-60% of students get paid and unpaid internships from our campus in different companies like Tata Steel, BCCL, SAIL, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities that offers to us are decent. All the buildings are very old as college was established in 1949. There are Wi-Fi facilities in some advanced labs like siemens lab, material characterization lab, etc. Mess quality is below average as per its feels. Mess fee is Rs 4,000 per month but it does not match its price. Canteen is being reconstructed and the food quality in the canteen is quite good as per its price. In our college, medical facilities are not good. Our college organises different sports events which are being managed by our sports club.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable but are not very helpful. Teaching quality is not good as sometimes teachers themselves do not take classes without informing us prior. Course curriculum is relevant as it's based on NEP (National Education Policy). Difficulty of the semester examinations is moderate. Around 80-95% of students pass the examination.
Other: Since I got 92% in JEE main examination and I appeared in JCECEB counselling through which I got Mechanical Branch of BIT Sindri. Its annual fee is roughly around Rs 16,000 which is very affordable as compared to other engineering colleges. I want to improve faculty members of my courses as they are not very interested in teaching. There are many events and annual tech fests organised in our college by different clubs and societies.
