The college has low fees, good placements, a nice ROI, good faculty members but no campus life.

Placements: The placement rate at BIT SNDRI is very good compared to its fees. Approximately 80-90 percent of students find jobs in core branches, excluding Civil. The average package is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiters include Tata Steel, Wipro, TCS, Adani, and Vedanta. Almost all students receive internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average.Still, the new hostel (Hostel 29) is quite nice. The construction of a new lecture hall is underway, but currently, the infrastructure is quite old. In the hostel, there is no Wi-Fi, so students must purchase their own. The quality of the mess food is decent.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive. Their teaching quality is good, and the college organizes various helpful sessions. Questions in semester exams vary from easy to moderate levels. You can pass the exam with just one night of studying, but to achieve good marks, you need to focus on your studies.

Other: The college fee is around Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000. The alumni network is strong, aiding students in securing internships at reputable companies. A significant issue is the old infrastructure and the fact that much of the lab equipment is unused. There are no major events but various small events do occur. There are no big events.

Review of Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri.

Placements: In electrical engineering, almost 90% of students get placement. The average package of our branch is 7 LPA. The highest package is 14 LPA and the minimum package is 4 LPA. Many top companies visit our college such as SAIL, TCS, JWL, etc. From 3rd year, students get opportunities to do internships in top companies like Tata, JWL, etc.

Infrastructure: Our department infrastructure in our college is not so good but it is not the worst. There is Wi-Fi in our classrooms. There are different labs for different departments. There is only one central library but it is not allowed for 1st year to study in the central library, we can only issue books. Facilities in our hostel are not in a proper way. Bathrooms are properly clean.

Faculty: Faculty are well-qualified and their teaching way is outstanding. The course curriculum is not according to the real-world application and not according to the requirements of the company. Semester exams are not so much difficult. If students study one day before exams, then they can easily pass.

BIT Sindri is a good college.

Placements: Last year, the placement rate in our Electrical Department is about 98%. This year, the placement process is ongoing, and 70 students get placed. The highest package ranges from 12 to 14 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TATA Steel, Vedanta, TATA Power, and Jindal Stainless Steel Limited.

Infrastructure: BIT Sindri has a campus area of about 400 acres. There are 30 hostels, separate for boys and girls, and 10 branch departments, lecture halls, a central library, a canteen, 3 grounds, laboratories, and many other buildings such as the alumni house and professors’ residences. Facilities here are quite good in terms of food and sports, but medical facilities are not very good.

Faculty: In BIT Sindri, professors are very helpful and kind. Each one has unique teaching skills, and they are very good at their profession. The course curriculum is relevant. The mid-semester exams are moderate, but the semester exams are a little difficult.

It is a decent college with decent placements.

Placements: Placements are average. However, they are good for electrical, mechanical, and metallurgy branches. Overall, it depends from year to year and it's really very good for certain years. This year, the highest package offered to one student of our college is 30 LPA off-campus.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is overall below average and we don't have Wi-Fi in the hostel and the mess. Other things are also not that good. However, we have certain problems in the hostel as well like Wi-Fi and electricity for certain times. Mess food is also not up to the mark. Practical labs are in the worst condition.

Faculty: Faculty members are average and not that good. However, the course curriculum is just for theoretical purposes. Our professors are just for the sake of formality. Many students study on their own for examinations.

BIT Sindri Dhandbad is a college with good value for money with maximum placements.

Placements: In BIT Sindri, the Electrical Engineering branch is the best, and approximately 80% of students get placed in Electrical Engineering, with an average package of 8 LPA to 10 LPA. The top companies that visit are Tata Steel, Tata Power, Jindal Power Limited, Vedanta Limited, L&T, TCS Ninja, TCS Prime, TCS Digital, etc. Approximately 60% of students get internships in companies like Tata Steel, SAIL, etc.

Infrastructure: In BIT Sindri, the infrastructure of the Electrical Engineering branch is not good for the laboratories, as the machines present in the laboratories do not work properly; often, the machines do not start for practical sessions. The library is good enough, as all the required books are available, and it provides a good place to study during the day. However, the library closes at night. The hostel facility is good, and the food provided in the mess is also good. The mess fee is Rs. 4,000 rupees per month, and the food quality is satisfactory.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, as they assist us in our studies with genuine care and provide us with the best quality teaching. The academic curriculum runs later compared to other NIT colleges. The semester exams are of an easy to moderate level, so one can easily pass if they study for a decent number of hours. The pass percentage is 90%, as the students also work hard and dedicate time to their studies.

Other: I choose BIT Sindri Dhanbad because it is a government college and provides good value for money. Here, the majority of students get placed with a minimal investment for the four-year B.Tech program. This college offers great value for money, especially for girls, as the placement percentage for girls is 90%, and all the girls get decent placements. The institution organizes an annual tech fest, and the sports culture is also good, as our institute organises sports competitions which are very engaging.

What rank is needed to get admission at BIT Sindri through JEE mains?

For BIT Sindri you should at least get 93 percentile to be on the safe side as last year the admission was done on the basis of marks/percentile obtained in JEE Mains.
