DU JAT 2021 is expected to be held in the last week of July 2021. With the exams in offing, the DU JAT preparations must be in full swing. Despite good planning, candidates tend to get nervous in the last few days to the exam. In order to avoid these last-minute jitters, candidates should focus on preserving what they have studied so far and avoid waddling into new topics.  Shiksha has prepared a list of last-minute tips for DU JAT 2021 to help you perform well in the exam.

DU JAT 2021 Last Minute Preparation Tips

Check DU JAT 2021 last-minute preparation tips below

Revise all formula and tricks

Keep revising the list of important formulas and shortcut tricks in quick succession. Make it a habit to recall all the key formulas before going to bed. It will help you clear all kinds of confusion and it strengthens what you have already studied. If an error occurs due to a gap in the fundamentals, revise the basics. Doing so will ensure that you do not repeat the same mistakes in the actual exam.

Develop a Sound Exam day Strategy

Develop a solid exam day plan days in advance. Based on your strength and weakness, you can decide how to go about doing different sections. It is important to identify the easy sets in the beginning before moving to the difficult ones. One should not get overwhelmed if the first few questions turn out to be difficult. It is equally important to read all the instructions carefully before taking the exam.

Learn to say No
While you solve mocks over a period of time, you will gradually develop an eye for questions that is likely to consume more than the usual time. It often happens by spending more than the stipulated time on one or two difficult questions, candidates lose out on easier ones that carry equal marks.  So, lay equal emphasis on all the sections and learn to say no to questions that can potentially waste your precious time during the exam.

Focus on Strength

Trying to learn new topics that you might have evaded so far, out of fear or confusion, could be counterproductive. The best practice in the last few days of the exam should be to focus on your strengths. Try to improve your speed in questions based on topics you are well-versed with. Apart from practising mocks, you should also focus on making the concepts transparent. Rather than learning new topics, you should pay attention to retaining what you have learned so far.

Do not Overstress

Taking unnecessary stress in the last few days to the exam could be counter-productive; you should take short breaks and engage in activities like meditation and yoga to rejuvenate your mind. Stay hydrated and consume light food before studying hours. It reduces fatigue and helps in improving concentration. You should also treat the entrance exam as another mock where you cannot compromise on time.
