The SET exam application schedule was announced online. The SET exam application process begins with filling out the SET exam application form and proceeding on to the fee payment. SET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Age Limit, Academic Qualification

The SET exam eligibility criteria 2026 state that:

  • Candidates should have cleared Class 12 in any stream from a recignised board or school
  • They should have scored at least 50 per cent in Class 12. SC, ST category should have scored at least 45 per cent
  • Students who are appearing for Class 12 boards or are waiting for results can also apply provisionally
  • A student who has completed Class 12 or equivalent from any Foreign Board should obtain an equivalent certificate from Association of Indian Universities.

How To Apply for SET Exam 2026?

To apply for SET exam, follow process given below (Part I):

  • Open SET website in a new browser

  • Click on Apply for SET exam on top right corner or copy https://set2026.ishinfosys.com/SYM20-SET26/apply/Index.aspx

  • Click on New User Registration button and read the Terms and Conditions given on the page

  • Students will be redirected to Part I of the SET exam application process, wherein they have to fill details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, gender, etc. 
  • Choose the preferred SET test date, city and upload the photograph
  • Check the details filled and click on Save and Continue to submit it
  • Enter the 6 digit one time password or OTP received on registered mobile number

SET Application Process 2026 (Part II)

Check part 2 of the SET application process below:

  • Verify the OTP received on the registered email ID
  • Pay the SET application fee and proceed to the Part II of the SET registration process
  • Now, fill details such as communication address, nationality, and details of parents or guardians, and select the preferred SET colleges
  • Studens will now be redirected to the institute fee payment gateway. They need to pay INR 1000 for each institute they have selected during the application process
  • Complete the SET application form by paying the institute fee and taking a print out of the SET application form 2026

To make payment through Demand Draft, follow the given steps:

  • Get a demand draft from any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Symbiosis Test Secretariat payable at Pune

  • Choose the mode of Payment as 'DD Payment' in the "Make Payment" tab

  • The DD should reach the authorities by 5 PM on the last date of SET exam registration 
  • Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat at:

If any student plans to appear for only one session of the SET exam, he/she will have to submit a Demand Draft of INR 2250/- and if they plan to appear for both sessions then they will have to submit a DD of INR 4500/-. The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the details of the Demand Draft and will send an email confirming the payment. They can access their SET admit card 2026 only if they have received the application fee payment confirmation.

  • Scanned recent coloured passport-size photograph

  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets

Students must remember following points when filling SET application form 2026:

  • Submitting a complete SET exam application form is important to be eligible to take SET exam 2026. If it is half filled, the form will be rejected at screening level. Such students will not get the SET exam admit card. 
  • Students should check the details entered in the SET form 2026. The details should be valid and true such as academic qualifications, date of birth, father’s/mother’s name, permanent address, email ID and phone number, etc. 
  • Photograph should not be older than 3 months. The photograph uploaded in application form should match the one which is to be carried to SET exam centre

How to Choose SET Test Centres During SET Registration 2026?

Part 1 of the SET exam registration will include the process to choose the SET 2026 test centre. Students have to first register for using their email ID and mobile number and then fill the SET application form. Here is how to choose the SET test centre:

  • During the SET application form filling, candidates can choose up to three test cities for the SET exam centre allotment.
  • Test cities cannot be changed once the SET application form has been submitted.
  • Details of the SET test centre will be mentioned on the SET admit card along with the date and time of the exam
  • Candidates must note that they will have to visit the same test centre that has been allotted to them. They cannot change the centre on the exam day too. No change requests will be entertained.

After the SET result is declared, the aspirants will be required to book their seats for PI-WAT by paying INR 1000 as a SET PI-WAT fee. The final merit list will be announced after the PI-WAT process is over. Final admission will be offered based on the candidate’s combined score in the SET exam and PI-WAT. Selected candidates will be sent the offer letter for admission through email. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website regularly.

Q:   Is there any fee concession in the SET registration fee for reserved category students?
A: 

SET fee is the same for all categories. SET application fee for SET is INR 2250 which includes GST. Students have to additionally pay institute fee, i.e. INR 1,000 per institute. During SET registration, candidates belonging to reserved categories have to select their category.

Q:   Who conducts the SET exam?
A: 

The SET exam is conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed-to-be) University (SIU). SIU is responsible for organizing the exam, setting the exam pattern, conducting the test, and releasing the results. They are also involved in coordinating the admission process based on the SET scores for various undergraduate programmes offered by participating institutes. The exam is a gateway for admissions to various UG courses such as BBA. 

SIU also conducts entrance exams for courses such as Management, Law, Engineering, Economics, Mass Communication, Computer Studies and Liberal Arts. Earlier, the exam was also conducted for B.Sc Culinary Arts but this exam was scrapped in the year 2021 for this course.

Q:   Can the SET application fee be refunded?
A: 

The SET application is not refunded under any circumstances. Once paid, the SET registration fee will be non refundable. In case a student is unable to appear for the SET exam, he/she will not be refunded the money spent as the SET application fee.

Students should check the eligibility criteria, exam information and details before applying for the SET exam and paying the application fee.

No, candidates will not need to fill a different SET application form if they belong to a reserved category. The SET application form is the same for all candidates, and they have to choose their category during registration process (Part 1).

Q:   Can I apply for more than one course in the SET application form?
A: 

SET exam is conducted only for admission to the BBA programmes offered at Symbiosis institues. Candidates seeking BBA admissions can apply for the SET exam by filling the SET application form. The other exams for different courses include SLAT, SITEEE, SNAP, etc. for admission to SIU.
