Overview

SET 2026 result released on May 20, 2026, at 3 PM. The SET exam result link is made live online at set-test.org and students can download the scorecard cum result by using the login details, i.e. SET User ID and Password. The results for both sessions is announced on same day. If the candidate appears for both sessions of SET exam, then SIU considers the best score of the two for shortlisting for GD/PI/WAT. 

SET exam results will be announced for all Symbiosis colleges on the same day; however, the colleges will release a separate SET exam cutoff list on their website based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the SET exam. Read below to know more about the SET exam result 2026.

How to Check SET 2026 Result?

SET result cum scorecard is available online only. SET result card 2026 has overall and sectional scores obtained by the students in the exam. Follow process mentioned below to check SET 2026 result:

  1. Go to SET exam website, which is, set-test.org

  2. Click on Download Scorecard

  3. Enter login details, i.e.SET user ID and password 

  4. Check result for the SET exam 2026 

  5. Download the SET 2026 scorecard and take a printout 

Scorecard is available for download on the website for a duration of one month after the result announcement. There is no facility for getting scores re checked or re evaluated for SET exam results 2026.

What After SET Exam Results 2026?

After the SET exam result 2026 is announced, here is what students should do:

  • Check SET cutoff released by each participating institute 
  • The participating institutes release a merit list of selected candidates who will be eligible for Personal Interview and WAT based on SET cut-off marks.
  • Candidates must download their scorecards within the given duration as the institute will not entertain any request for a scorecard after that
  • Only institutes for which the candidates have applied before the last date of payment will call them for the PI round. The call letters will be sent to candidates 4-5 days prior to the date of the Personal Interview.

SET exam 2026 merit list will be released by participating institutes in online mode. The merit list will be based on parameters such as SET exam scores, PI and WAT scores, etc. Students will be evaluated based on scores they obtained in all rounds. Check admission criteria below:

Q:   Who determines the SET cutoff?
A: 

SET cutoff is released by the participating institutes after the announcement of the SET result. The ten prestigious Symbiosis Institutes accept SET scores. SET scores are accepted for various undergraduate programmes offered by these institutes. The SET cut-off is different for all institutes and courses. These cutoffs will be available on the official website of each participating college or institute. Candidates who have appeared for the SET exam must meet the cutoff of their preferred institute in order to gain admission to that particular institute.

According to the previous cutoff trends, the SET cutoff generally range from 85-89 for the General category. Last year, the highest SET cutoff was 89 for the General category. Shortlisted candidates who match the cutoff will be called for further selection procedure, which includes, Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Q:   What are the minimum marks required to clear SET exam?
A: 

Students must have secured a minimum of 50% in Class 12 to appear for SET. The cut off for SET is expected to be between 25 to 42 across categories.

SET result is available online on the official website of SET. Candidates who appeared for the SET exam can download their SET scorecards using their Username and password. Given below is the process on how to download the SET results:

Q:   Will I get admission on the basis of SET results directly?
A: 

No, after the SET exam is cleared, candidates had to go through for further selection procedure conducted by the participating institutes. The SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious institutes of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. The admission process included Written Ability Test (What), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. were also considered for admission to various institutes which accept SET scores. SET score is only the first parameter on which the candidates are shortlisted for admission. The institutes first shortlist the candidates for What, GD and PI on the basis of their SET scores, marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12. For the final selection, the institutes take SET scores, performance in GD/PI, What, Class 10 and Class 12 marks, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity into consideration.

Q:   Do the Symbiosis colleges accept Class 12 marks for BBA admission?
A: 

To get BBA admissions to the prestigious Symbiosis colleges, students need to appear for the SET exam. Candidates should however, must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Candidates in Class 12 or awaiting their Class 12 board results are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit a passing certificate. 

Therefore, the Symbiosis colleges grant admission to the BBA course through SET exam, but Class 12 marks are equally important as it is one of the most important eligiblity criteria. 

Q:   How can I prepare for the subsequent rounds of the SET admission process?
A: 

SET results are announced within a week of the SET exam. Once the results are announced, students can start preparing for the SET counselling rounds and apply to the college's websites. If the candidate meets the SET cutoff of the participating institute they will be called for the WAT/PI rounds. For the preparation of these rounds, students should focus on improving communication skills, current affairs awareness, general knowledge, etc. 

Q:   Do IIMs accept SET scores?
A: 

No, IIMs do not accept SET test scores for admission. Iims conduct Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to MBA programmes. Iims such as IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak, which offer integrated management programmes, accept IPMAT scores conducted by them. With the score of the SET test, you can get admission in  Symbiosis colleges. You can get admission in the following top management colleges:

Q:   What should I do after taking the SET exam?
A: 

After the SET exam is over, candidates should follow the below mentioned instructions:

  1. Drop the exception form, if any, in the drop box outside the lab or centre
  2. Rough sheets used during the exam should be dropped into the drop box designated for the same.
  3. Do no litter the exam centre
  4. Follow the instructions of the volunteer at the exam centre for the exit path.
Q:   How is the final SET score calculated?
A: 

SET score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the SET exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark. For an incorrect answer, there is no negative marking. And also no marks will be awarded or deducted for unaswered questions. Candidates who match the SET cutoff criteria are further called for the Personal Interview round. 

Therefore, the total marks of SET is 60. The sectional marking scheme for SET is given below:

  1. General English: 16
  2. Analytical and Logical Reasoning: 12
  3. Quantitative Ability: 16
  4. General Knowledge: 16

Candidates must choose the questions to solve very carefully and smartly as they will not be awarded marks for incorrect answers. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they should leave the question instead of taking a chance.
