SET counselling 2026 includes a Written Ability Test, Personal Interaction and some colleges also conduct Studio Test for BBA admissions 2026. SET selection process 2026 will be conducted at various participating institutes of Symbiosis University. The SET result 2026 will be announced on set-test.org on May 20, 2026. The candidates who met the SET 2026 cut off marks will be called for the further admission process. Candidates have to fill out the registration form for the participating Symbiosis Institutes after the announcement of results and Symbiosis SET cut-off marks.

SET Exam Counselling Process 2026

SET counselling rounds include Personal Interviews and Written Ability Tests as under:

1. SET exam Written Ability Test: Candidates will be required to take a PAT, Picture Association Test and, write a short essay on any general topic allotted by the panel of judges. Moreover, there could be subjective-type questions and answers round on the given topic.

For Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication, Pune, the SET counselling process 2026 will also include a Studio Test besides PI, WAT and document verification.

2. SET exam 2026 Personal Interaction or Interview – Candidates will be required to appear for an interview with the expert panel from Industries or Academics. The PI round will cover:

General Awareness
Extracurricular activities
Academics and candidate-specific fields of interest
Communication skills and overall personality

What After SET Exam Result 2026?

After the SET results are declared, students should check the SIU institutes for exam cutoffs. The SET cutoff will be released by each participating institute. The participating institutes release a merit list of selected candidates who will be eligible for Personal Interview. Candidates should download their SET scorecards within the given duration as the varsity will not entertain any request for a scorecard after that.

SET Counselling 2026: BBA Admission Criteria for Symbiosis Institutes

Each institute will release merit lists after conducting PI, WAT and ST. Candidates must register and pay fees for the institutes they want to take admission to before the last date. The counselling process through SET is conducted for admission to various colleges accepting SET scores. Candidates who appear for SET can apply to various SET accepting colleges during the application process. The counselling rounds of SET exam include Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. Candidates can fill out the registration form of the participating Symbiosis Institutes after the announcement of results and cut-off marks. The following is the SET counselling procedure:

Selection of students: Candidates are selected and called for further admission process on the basis of the scores obtained by them in the SET exam after they SET result announcement. Students are intimidated about the SET cutoff and they can check if they meet the cutoff criteria.
Written Ability Test and Personal Interview: The WAT and PI schedule is announced by the individual institutes. Q: What to do after SET result?

After the declaration of SET result, each participating institute will release a cutoff list to shortlist the candidates. The participating institutes will then call the candidates for the admission process which includes further rounds. If candidates want to apply at colleges other than those selected during the SET application process, then they will have to fill out the application form for those other colleges individually. The SET selection process includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Applicants can begin preparing for the GD/PI rounds soon after the SET result announcement. SET score remains valid for one year for BBA admission. The final admissions will be based on candidates' performance in the SET exam as well as in WAT/PI/ST rounds.

Q: Will the Symbiosis Institutes call or we have to register for the institutes again after passing the SET exam?

Candidates have to choose their preferred institutes during the SET application process and pay the requisite fee.
