SET mock test 2026 was made live on Symbiosis SET website on March 20, 2026, for students who registered for exam by March 15, 2026. Second SET mock test 2026 was available till April 6, 2026, for the candidates who registered for SET exam 2026 by March 31, 2026. Taking mock test was compulsory to take SET exam 2026. To understand question paper structure, important topics and weightage, students should take SET mock tests. The SET mock test pattern will be as follows:

  • There are 60 MCQs- 16 from General English, 12 from Logical & Analytical Reasoning, 16 from Quantitative, and 16 from General Awareness
  • The duration of the exam is 60 minutes
  • There is no negative markings and sectional time limit
  • Total marks are 60

SIU provides option to registered students to practice for SET exam through mocks. Taking the SET exam mock test is compulsory. They will help the candidates know kind of questions which will be asked during the SET exam 2026. To take the SET mock test, follow the process below:

  • Go to SET website
  • Click on SET Exam Mock Test on homepage
  • Enter login details, i.e. SET user ID and password
  • Click Start Test and Submit after test is over
  • Check SET mock score

SET Mock Test 2026 Instructions

Students should follow instructions below for SET mock test 2026:

  • Registered students can take SET mock exam through logjn portal
  • Login details for SET exam mock test 2026 are:
    • User ID: Combination of SET and SET ID, if SET ID is 12345 then SET mock test user ID will be SET12345)
    • Password:
  • Each question will have four options and students have to choose the correct one
  • Marks obtained on mock test will be for reference only and will have no impact on final SET 2026 score.
  • Only one question will be displayed at a time
  • Students can freely navigate between sections during the SET mock test.
  • Students can click on Start Test to begin test and Submit to end test and check mock test results. 
  • A submission summary will appear at the end of test, showing the number of questions the candidate has answered, left unattempted, and marked for review.

How to Attempt the SET Mock Test?

Students should start taking SET mock tests as soon as they have completed SET syllabus 2026. Practicing SET mock tests for exam is a foolproof way of scoring well.

Approach to Solve SET Mock Tests

Students should scrutinise each mock they take and identify pitfalls or shortcomings. Students should practice as many mock tests as possible to check the difficulty level and help them be prepared for all kinds of questions on the day of the exam. Students can follow tips given below to solve SET exam mock tests:

  • Practice mock tests in timed conditions. Students will be able to improve speed.
  • Solve easier questions first and move to tougher ones later.
  • Students should spend only one minute per question. Skip a question if it is very tough or time consuming
  • Start with the section that you are most confident in. This will save time and build confidence. 
  • Overall duration of SET mock test is 60 minutes and there are four sections. Do not give more than 12 to 15 minutes per section.

Q:   What are the requirements to attempt the SET mock test?

The SET mock test will be available online on the official website of SET. The mode of conduction will be the same as the actual SET exam. Candidates who have successfully registered for the SET exam and paid the application fee can take the mock test once they have downloaded the SET admit card. The mock test will be conducted to familiarize the students with the exam pattern and prepare the students with the time-based exam and help them tackle the time limit. Students must login at least ten minutes prior to take the mock exam. To login, students can use their User ID and Password which they received on the registered email ID. 

Q:   What is the marking scheme of SET test?
A: 
SET has a total of 60 questions. The General English Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness sections carry 16 questions and the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section carries 12 questions. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded and one mark is deducted for an incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Therefore, the total marks of SET is 60. The sectional marking scheme for SET is given below: 1. General English 16 2. Analytical and Logical Reasoning: 12 3. Quantitative Ability: 16 4. General Knowledge: 16 Candidates must choose the questions to solve very carefully and smartly as they will not be awarded marks for incorrect answers. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they should leave the question instead of taking a chance.
Q:   Are the SET mock tests similar to the actual SET exam?

Symbiosis International University designs the SET mock tests in simulation to the actual exam. Infact, the previous year's question paper are considered to prepare the SET mock tests available on the official exam website. The questions in the SET mock tests are similar to that appear in the actual exam. Besides the questions, SET mock tests have a similar exam format, structure, and difficulty level of the exam, the mock test of SET exam aims to provide a real understanding of all features of the entrance exam.

Q:   How many attempts will be allowed for the SET 2026 exam?

Candidates can only attempt SET exam twice on given test dates. The SET exam 2026 will be conducted on May 2 and 10. 

Candidates can mention their number of attempts while filling the SET application form. However, they have to pay the application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.

Q:   What is the SET exam duration and exam slot?
A: 
The SET exam is held for only one hour or 60 minutes. There is only one slot for the SET exam. SET exam does not have any sectional time limit as well. However, the candidates need to solve the question paper in 60 minutes and this means that the candidates will have approximately one minute to solve each question. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment 60 minutes will get over, the screen will automatically end the test. The SET exam is conducted in the afternoon shift, I. e. from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates must make sure that they reach the SET exam centre by 10:30 AM in order to complete the frisking formalities at the entry GATE. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre beyond 11:15 AM.
Q:   What is the difficulty level of SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test)?

SET is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses. SET 2026 will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. The difficulty level of the SET exam is usually easy to moderate. But, a few questions might trick your mind and can be time-consuming.

General Knowledge and Analytical and Logical Reasoning are easier than the Quantitative Aptitude section. In 2025, according to the students who appeared for the SET session 1 exam, the SET exam was moderate. The General English section was the easiest of all four sections. The Quantitative Aptitude section was the toughest, and the other two sections were moderate to easy. The overall difficulty level of the SET question paper was moderate. Students who appeared for the SET 2025 session 2 exam said that the overall difficulty level was easy. Again, the General English section was the easiest. In this session, the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section was also easy to moderate. The Quant section was easy to moderate, and the General Knowledge section was difficult.

Q:   What is the sectional weightage of SET exam?
A: 

SET exam has four sections having multiple-choice questions. The sectional weightage of each section of the SET question paper is different. The General English, Quantitative Aptitude and General Knowledge sections have 16 questions. Each question carries one mark. The Analytical and Logical Reasoning section of the SET question paper has12 multiple-choice questions and each question carries one mark. For incorrect answers, there is no negative marking. Q:   Will the SET BBA exam be conducted in double shifts?
A: 

No, the SET exam will be conducted in a single shift. SET exam is usually conducted in a single shift for one hour, i. e. from 9 AM to 10 AM. The exam was, however, is conducted on two days. 

However, in 2020, the SET exam was conducted in the remote-proctored mode in order to follow the social distancing guidelines for COVID-19, and the students had the option to choose the exam slot according to their preference and convenience. SET exam pattern was also changed after 2020. 

Q:   How do I login for taking the SET mock test?
A: 

Candidates can take the SET mock test online. To login to the SET mock test window candidates need to enter the userID and password. For the mock test the user ID will be the combination of 'SET' and the user ID created during the SET exam registration. That is, if the user ID is 123456 then the SET mock test user ID will be SET123456. 

The password for the mock test login will be the word 'password' but in lowercase. 

Q:   How to crack SET in first attempt?
A: 

To crack SET exam in first attempt, students should have a preparation plan for 3 to 6 months bifurcated according to topics, strengths and knowledge of students. Students should consistently practice to fetch good SET scores. 

Q:   What is the ideal time to prepare for SET exam?
A: 

Aspirants should start preparing for the SET exam at least six months before the test date. SET preparation requires planning thus one must start early. They can also join coaching institutes for focused preparation. Starting early will also help you assess that whether you need to join a coaching institute or not. Divide your preparation into three phases - 1. Covering the syllabus 2. Practicing mock tests, sample questions and 3. Revision.

The SET syllabus includes the following topics:

General English: Parajumbles, Sentence Completion, Grammar, Comprehension Passages, Synonyms and Antonyms, etc.

Logical Reasoning: Tables, Graphs, Pie Charts, Blood Relation, Seating Arrangement, Strong and Weak Arguments, and Syllogism

IPMAT is usually considered a bit more difficult than SET, as IPMAT exam has advanced mathematics and is calculation intensive. The exam also have a sectional time limit. But, SET is easier in terms of difficulty, does not have negative marking or sectional timings.
