NIFT Chennai cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various Design courses at the UG and PG levels. For the General AI category, the NIFT last round cutoff ranged between 315 and 1692, with Master of Fashion Management (MFM) being the most competitive course for admission. For B.Des admission, the NIFT maximum cutoff rank required was 1692.

NIFT Chennai cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various Design courses at the UG and PG levels. The NIFT cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for different categories belonging to the AII India quota. For the General AI category, the NIFT last round cutoff ranged between 315 and 1692, with Master of Fashion Management (MFM) being the most competitive course for admission. NIFT Chennai Cutoff 2025 for General All India Category

NIFT Chennai B.Des cutoff 2025 was released for Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Communication and Leather Design specialisations. Among all these, the one that turned out to be the most competitive for admission was Fashion Communication, with NIFT first and last round closing ranks of 299 and 391, respectively. 

At the postgraduate level, the institute offers the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) programme, for which the NIFT closing rank was 130 in the first round, which further increased to 315 in the last round. For more details, refer to the table below:

NIFT Chennai Cutoff 2025 for OBC All India Category

Among the OBC category candidates, the NIFT 2025 cutoff ranks varied between 633 and 5202 during the last round of admission. Of all the B.Des specialisations, the most challenging for admission was Fashion Communication with a last round closing rank of 1069, followed by Fashion Design (1565) and Accessory Design (1880). On the other hand, the easy-to-grab specialisation was Leather Design, with the last round cutoff rank of 5202 and Textile Design (4108). Further details are provided below:

NIFT Chennai Cutoff 2025 for SC All India Category

For the students belonging to the SC AII India quota, the NIFT last round closing ranks varied between 853 and 7725. Among the B.Des specialisations, the most competitive was Fashion Communication, with NIFT first round closing rank of 1964. On the contrary, the least competitive specialisation for admission was Leather Design, with NIFT first and last round closing ranks of 6676 and 7725, respectively.

NIFT Chennai Cutoff 2025 for ST All India Category

NIFT Chennai B.FTech cutoff 2025 was released along with other Design courses, such as B.Des and MFM. Compared with the SC AII India category, the NIFT cutoff ranks were less competitive for admission among the ST category students under the AII India quota. For B.Des in Fashion Design, the NIFT 2025 first and last round closing ranks were 4046 and 7210, respectively. 

For other courses, such as B.FTech. in Apparel Production, the NIFT closing rank was 1634 in the first round, while in the last round, the cutoff rank concluded at 2310

Yes, NIFT Chennai campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in Taramani, Chennai. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety.
