No, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) only offers admission basis of candidates' performance in the NIFT entrance exam. Similarly, in the final round, the closing ranks varied between 29 and 2970. Comparing both rounds, the top two courses with a competitive last round cutoff rank of 29 and 301 were M.FTech and MFM, respectively.

For B.Des in Fashion Design, the NIFT cutoff ranks were less challenging for admission among the SC AI category students, as compared to the General and OBC categories. BDes admissions at NIFT Delhi are still ongoing for academic year 2026.

However, fresh applications to BDes courses have been closed for this year. Currently, admissions are in spot round allotment phase which is scheduled to continue until last week of July.

Yes, BDes fees increases on annual basis at NIFT Delhi. However, the increase is not done on a fixed rate. Each year's BDes tuition fees is charged in two semesterly installments which will have the same cost.

Aspirants cannot study at NIFT Delhi for free. However, they can get concession fees by opting for NIFT Delhi scholarships. The institute provides scholarships to students based on their merit or gross family income. The total tuition fees is INR 6.2 lakh for PG and INR 13 lakh for UG courses.
