For the General AI category, the last round cutoff varied between 5964 and 41289, wherein BTech in Computer Science and Engineering emerged as the most competitive course for admission. NIT Calicut JEE Main cutoff 2025 was released for a total of 9 rounds for admission to various BTech branches. In the first round, the cutoff varied from 4678 to 28830. The cutoff in the last round varied from 5964 to 41289. According to both these rounds, the most competitive course for admission was BTech CSE, with the first and final round ranks at 4678 and 5964, respectively.

NIT Calicut Cutoff 2025 for OBC All India Category

When comparing the JEE Main closing ranks for the OBC AI category to the General AI category, we can see that the competition was tougher for the OBC AI category students. The overall cutoff ranged from 1529 to 57399 for the OBC All India category students. The top three most sought-after courses in the last round were BTech CSE, closely followed by BTech ECE and BTech EEE. These courses had the cutoffs of 10204, 15698 and 21422, respectively. The last round cutoff for SC AI category candidates ranged from 41359 to 181941 across various BTech branches at NIT Calicut. In the final round, the easiest BTech branches were  Biotechnology, followed by Materials Science and Engineering and  Energy Engineering. For this category, the first round cutoff range fell between 559 and 4980, with BTech CSE being the toughest branch for admission. CSE had the first round cutoff at 559 and the last round cutoff of 7862. For this category, the overall cutoff ranged from 2697 to 543879 for various BTech course specialisations. While BTech CSE remained the most competitive branch, with the cutoff ranging between 2697 and 4674 in the first and final rounds,  there were also other branches with a more accessible cutoff range for the SC Home State category students.

For the ST HS students, the cutoff rank required varied significantly depending on the preferred specialisation by the students. For the most popular choice, ie, BTech CSE, candidates would need to secure the lowest cutoff rank at 655 in the first round, meaning they need to be near the top of the rank list. 

Students who have a rank above 655 and want admission irrespective of the branch can go for other branches with more accessible cutoff ranks. For this category, the admissions were offered till a rank of 516423 for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering field. Students with a rank as high as 932411 can avail admission to this institute if they belong to the EWS HS quota category.  When compared to the last round closing ranks of the ST category under the Home State quota, the competition was tougher here.
