B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029

I'm absolutely satisfied with my college.
Placements: Placements are very good. 80-85% placement percentage. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA, with an average of 8 LPA. Top recruiters are Amazon, Nvidia, Rapid, Capgemini, etc. More than 70% got internships, and the highest stipend is Rs. 50,000. From this 70%, it was more than 50% students got paid internships.
Infrastructure: The campus is very green. The labs are fully equipped with the latest equipment, sporting and gym facilities are top-notch. The campus has 24/7 Wi-Fi support. Library are equipped with a wide range of books. Even have e-books. The hostel quality is very good, the infrastructure is A+, fast Wi-Fi, and the food is too good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Most of the professors are pdf holders and very supportive. The curriculum is very relevant, focusing on making us industry-ready. The exams are of moderate difficulty but hard enough to evaluate our knowledge. Almost everyone passes the exam, with just 3-4 not being able to pass it.
Other: I chose ECE because of my interest in Electronics and seeing its future scope. Currently, I'm satisfied with my course. Events are great, we celebrate every festival, have 2 fests in a year, and an ethnic day too.

Review of the final year student of BMSITM 2026.
Placements: Companies do come to college, but it is more about quantity and very little quality. The majority of the companies come for tech support work or sales fields. Core placements are very rare. The college often bundles core branch students to sit for companies that have asked only for tech branches, just to increase the number of companies coming for core. If we just want a job, then placements are good. If students want a job specifically within the branch, then they have to opt for it.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. It has well-equipped labs with knowledgeable guides. The food court and Kuteera (Coffee Cafe) are also well-maintained. There are no complaints about the food. Wi-Fi is a mess, depending on where we are, as it randomly disconnects and doesn't let us connect, or just has no signal at all.
Faculty: Our college has knowledgeable professors. The course curriculum is well-planned. But it could do with more project-oriented learning for the application of whatever we learnt in class. College is very student-first-oriented, so they do support projects if the student takes the initiative and takes control. But the push doesn't come from the college itself.

A decent college with good placements.
Placements: A good number of students are placed in decent companies. The highest CTC is 23 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA as of now. Top recruiters include Infosys, LTMindtree, Oracle, Lowe's, Epicor, etc. Roles offered range from SDE, SDET, Full Stack Developer, Intern, Trainee roles, etc. A good number of people get internships during their 6th semester.
Infrastructure: The college has good Wi-Fi connection almost everywhere. Labs are also good, but the college is a little overcrowded right now. Hostel food is good (might get bored of the food, but the quantity and quality are pretty decent). They provide non-veg on Wednesday and Sunday nights, and eggs are also provided on most days.
Faculty: I consider my teachers friendly and helpful. Classes are pretty well-conducted. The curriculum is the same as VTU curriculum with few changes here and there. I don't think the syllabus makes anyone industry-ready. Internals are pretty easy. Semester exams are comparatively difficult but not too hard.

A fast-growing college in Bangalore.
Placements: The placements for Computer Science, and AIML are excellent, while Electronics students also can sit for these placements, but again, they should skill themselves. Many top companies come for internships and placements, such as Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft for software jobs. Companies like Texas Instruments, Hexaware Technologies, and more come for core electronics jobs.
Infrastructure: All the classes are well-planned with projectors to help us visualize topics. We have fast Wi-Fi connectivity in every corner of the college. All the auditoriums are spacious. The labs are well-maintained for Physics, C programming, Chemistry, and English with the latest technology to help us learn better.
Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, having their M.Tech and Ph.D. at VTU. Most of them teach well, but there are a few who know their topics but can't teach them well. But all the teachers are helpful if we approach them; they never say no, always helping us with doubts or lab records.

Not recommended if you find a better college in Bangalore. Not a good crowd.
Placements: The HODs are really strict but the faculty members are friendly. You can get placed surely and the highest one provided from our branch was 14LPA and the least was 2.4LPA. We had 200+ students in the ECE depth. Internships can be done from anywhere. All were placed be in oncampus or offcampus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi works really good. The college infrastructure is small and doesn't have a proper playground. Good food quality is maintained in hostel. The NRI hostel is really nice. Proper equipments are available in labs. The wardens are really helpful though.
Faculty: The teachers were friendly and encourages in taking part in different activities. Our batch didn't get such opportunities about fests but later on it has started and really rocks. The faculty members are a bit based towards the native and feminist. Good teachers are rarely found.
Other: I had my interest in electronics. Making new friends and learning alongwith them was the best part. Infrastructure should be improved.

Review of BMS Institute of Technology and Management.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placed in ECE. The highest salary package offered is 36 LPA and the lowest salary package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Infosys, etc. The role offered is a developer.
Infrastructure: Old building doesn't get good Wi-Fi. Library is good and the new modifications are made. Canteen is good and the management changes every year. Labs are very good. There are digital electronics labs.
Faculty: Some teachers like Prashant Athavle, etc., are not good. HOD in the ECE department is arrogant. Management doesn't care about students. The syllabus is good and they are changing back to VTU.
