Decent infrastructure, friendly faculty, but lacks placement support and practical exposure.

Placements: Honesty, placements in our Electronic Media department are disappointing. As a rank holder at Anna University, I've seen a few opportunities for our course. The college doesn't provide much guidance or support, leaving us to fend for ourselves. Other departments have a good placement record, but ours lags behind. It's frustrating because faculty and infrastructure are good, but lack of placement support is a major drawback. We rely on our own efforts to find internships and jobs, which is challe...

ME high voltage engineering course admission in Chennai.

Placements: Of our batch, only roughly 73% are placed. The highest package is ₹9.5 LPA, the lowest ₹3 LPA, and the average around ₹4.7 LPA. Power Grid, Siemens, ABB, and BHEL were the primary recruiters. Approximately 60% secured internships at manufacturing facilities, testing labs, and electrical utilities. Testing engineer, design engineer, and maintenance engineer are among the positions available.

Good exposure and campus.

Placements: Around 70% are placed and many go for higher studies. The lowest package is 3 Lacs and the highest is 21 Lacs. A student recently got into Apple as well. Most students get placed as Software Development. Students also get mass recruited at the end of the placement season. Companies like Fidelity, Visa, Citi Bank recruit students here often.

I like hostel life more as college is strict.

Placements: The students from 3rd semester were eligible for placements. Companies like Toyota, EY, Micromax, Accenture, KPMG, Delliote, etc., will come to hire the freshers. The highest package offered was around 20 LPA, and the lowest package was around 4 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed was 70-80%. My plans after degree were to work for 5 years in an MNC.

The pride in sharing the greatness of Asia's oldest college.

Placements: In our course last year, around 81% of students got placed. The remaining students opt for higher studies abroad. So the remaining students do not apply for placements. The students are being given an enormous number of opportunities for placements.

It is a good engineering college.

Placements: Our university provides good placement opportunities. Students have to score above 7 SGPA in all the semesters to get good placements. Top recruiting companies are Bajaj Electricals, Syska, HP, etc. These companies select students based on their interviews. The average salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA.
