Almost every day, clubs and groups conduct programs for a best college life.
Placements: The placement at my college is above average. Many students are getting placed in different companies all over India and abroad. In the Civil branch, a lot of students are placed in this academic year. My stream comes under the Civil Engineering branch. The top recruiting companies are WSP, L&T, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is good. Almost all facilities are available, including Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, well-ventilated classrooms with projectors, and a central library under KTU inside the college. The quality of food is good. The college also supports extracurricular activities like sports, games, dance, music, and more.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well qualified. In my stream, most teachers have a Ph.D. Teachers are very supportive and clear our doubts. Exams are conducted under KTU. The pass percentage is above 90. Semester exams are sometimes difficult and sometimes of medium level, depending on the questions from the university.
Other: This college is one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala. College events and fests are well organized. Students get the best college life from this college.

M.Tech. in Structural Engineering - Batch of 2026

    3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
    M.Tech life in CET Trivandrum.
Placements: I am for Structural Engineering in CET Trivandrum, now studying for 1st semester. Basically, for M.Tech, placement is less compared to B.Tech. Only a few get placed in civil core companies, others some get placed in IT companies. Our batch has 37 students, which is for the first time. We are a batch whose strength in Structural Engineering has increased from 18 to 36. Top recruiters are L&T when it comes to civil.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for our department. And labs also have adequate facilities. All classrooms have projectors and there is a big library. There are 2 libraries: department library and central library. There is only 1 hostel for ladies and only a few seats for M.Tech, so most of the PG students have to stay as paying guests outside the campus. The breakfast in the college canteen is good, but lunch is not so tasty. But food is provided at affordable rates. In hostels, each room accommodates 4 students and has a dormitory type of B.Ed. 2 tables and bathrooms are common. For PG, it's in the new block, which is a five-story building, and there is a lift in the hostel. Food is also good in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very sincere and engage in every class hour. Most of the faculty members are senior with years of experience. But I feel some teachers’ classes are not easy to understand. No, I don’t think the course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready from my first semester experience. Now we are learning theories without having an actual understanding of what it is. In the first semester, the subjects are a bit difficult, especially Structural Dynamics and Theory of Elasticity.
Other: I chose Structural Engineering because I think it will have better job opportunities compared to other streams in civil engineering. The thing that needs improvement is that the M.Tech level syllabus should be updated from theory-based teaching in the classroom to practical-level field learning. Then only we will know what we are learning, how we can apply it, and where to apply it. Still learning the theories and knowing nothing is annoying. There are a lot of fests and events in CET. There are department fests for all the departments and common fests like arts, sports, Onam, Xmas, Drishti, and all, along with many programs conducted by different clubs like IEEE, EDC, etc. And Teach Fest. E-Grants, National Scholarship, and AICTE Stipends are the scholarships available. The chance of getting the NSP scholarship is less. For GATE students, a stipend of 12,400 per month and E-Grants for non-GATE students are provided.

College Review - College of Engineering
Placements: College of Engineering Trivandrum gives the best placement opportunities for the students. Average salary package provided was around 6lpa. Some the recruiting companies are Oracle, Cognizant, Accenture, L & T, Infosys etc. Many of the companies provide both internship and full time employment opportunities.
Infrastructure: Facilities include wifi, laboratories, ladies amenities center, library, water purifier etc. In hostels wi-fi is available. A civil canteen and another canteen facility is available in our campus. Amenities center provide first aid's. A physical education center is available for promoting students sports and games activities.
Faculty: Faculties are really helpful. They are well qualified and will help us anytime. Teaching quality is 5/5. The course curriculum is relevant. Before starting 3rd semester students need to complete an internship. Many faculties are helping students to get an internship opportunity. Semester exams are conducted by the university.

The best college in my life.
Placements: About half the students in this batch have been placed, and some are opting for higher studies. That's why some didn't get placed. Many companies have approached me for recruitment, and they have done the interview process too. L and T, Technopark, UST, and ULTs have offered many job vacancies.
Infrastructure: The college is quite big and each department have a different block and Wi-Fi facilities, All facilities are available, and they are all in good condition. The campus has a big library and it has all the necessary stuff, such as research papers, textbooks, etc.
Faculty: Exams are conducted correctly by the university, and the classes are assigned according to our roll numbers. Faculty members are also good and trained well; they have good experiences and teach their portions well. The teachers guide us really well and help us reach our goal.

Placements: Almost half of the students are placed in good companies such as Wipro, Infosys, and Techno Park. The placement training provided during the last semester is very useful during the placement exams. The training is provided by experienced faculty members.
Infrastructure: The college is really big, and each branch has different departments. The campus is well-maintained. Each branch has Wi-Fi connections and all the required lab facilities. The campus has a total of 3 canteens which provide a variety of good hygienic foods.
Faculty: The faculty members are really friendly and they help us a lot with our projects and research areas by providing ideas, journals, and proper guidance. Exams like university exams and semester exams are conducted regularly without fail. The semester exams aren't that hard but can be passed if studied properly according to the syllabus.
Other: The campus has all kinds of sports and extracurricular activities. Along with that, all activities are held at night after college hours. It's really awesome.

    A:

It might not be easy to get into the College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) with a 70% Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) score because CET mainly offers undergraduate engineering and technology degrees. The CMAT is a nationally recognised admission test for management schools. Although it could indicate your ability for management studies, it has no bearing on your eligibility for CET's engineering programs.

With a CMAT score of 70%, there isn't a direct admissions route into CET's engineering programs; nevertheless, you might want to look into other choices, such management programs at CET or other universities, or getting a management degree and applying to engineering programs later.

It is imperative to acknowledge that the material supplied is broad in nature. For the most precise and current information, one should refer to the official rules and regulations of CET and other pertinent institutions.

Q:   What are the factors affecting College of Engineering, Trivandrum cutoff 2023?
    A:

The KEAM 2023 cutoff is made public in the form of the minimal scores needed by applicants to be admitted to Kerala's engineering institutions. Candidates who meet the requirements under the KEAM result of 2023 are admissible. The availability of seats, the total number of applications submitted, the difficulty level of KEAM 2023, and trends in the KEAM cutoff from the previous year are only a few of the variables that the authorities take into account when deciding the KEAM 2023 cutoff. Through counseling, places are only provided to individuals who meet the KEAM 2023 threshold grades.

Yes, students can get admission in LNCT University Bhopal without LNCT CET. The university conducts the exam for UG admissions. However, those with scores in other exams are also eligible. Students can submit JEE/ NATA/ CAT/ GATE/ NEET scores too.

There is no minimum marks required to appear in MAH CET counselling. Candidate with more than 0 in MAH CET or other entrance exams can register for CAP. However, selection will be based on minimum cut offs for the participating colleges.
