B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026
3.4
An average college that is still under development. Can go for it.
Placements: There are currently 21 students in my batch, including me. The highest package offered is 10–12 Lacs. The lowest package offered is 2 Lacs. The average comes around 5 lacs. The top recruiting company is BOSCH. The college doesn't care about internships as such. But the students have to know better and do an internship outside of the college.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are all good. But when it comes to infrastructure, it could be better. There are LED smart boards installed in almost every classroom. The library is well maintained and taken care of. The speed of the Wi-Fi is average. The labs are well built, but the instruments used are a bit old and under maintenance.
Faculty: Teachers really do well when it comes to the completion of the syllabus. The quality of teaching is good. The course curriculum is average, and students have to gain more knowledge. The exams are really easy, with a percentage of 35%. As the college is a vishveshwaraya technological VTU.
Other: I've been wanting to learn about mechanical engineering, especially about IC engines. The best thing about my course is the atmosphere the faculty members set up for us so that we feel comfortable and open-minded. Things that can be improved are definitely internships and industrial visits. There are a lot of events happening at the college on a regular basis. The campus is pretty big and not crowded. Scholarships are good.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, good campus and infrastructure, poor transportation.
Placements: 2016 batch, mechanical engineering. 1)5% of students from the class were placed. 2)3.5 Lacs was the highest salary package offered and lower wasn't described. 3)infosys, Toyota, Oracle, Tata were the most common companies offering placements for our course. 4)Some of the students were offered with high post, some for internships, and employee. 5)3.5 Lacs package was offered for couple of students fro the class, and the lowest wasn't noticed. 6) 4 students were placed throughout the mechanical engineering branch and were mostly selected from infosys company.
Infrastructure: The college has a huge campus located outer sides of the city which makes it rural area having less amount of resources. The campus has a big parking slot made for everyone, there is no Wifi facility for the huge campus, labs are well maintained for practical exams, classrooms are maintained well for the students a good environment for education, library is only one for the whole campus for different branches and fields with huge amount of books containing all books needed for studies. Hostel is not the best among those facilities, no proper hospitality no proper structure, the food for the hostel students is very bad non hygiene prefer to eat outside the college, there is no name of medical facilities throughout the campus, sports is not the best thing of the college with huge ground for playing showing the physical strengths but its hardly used by students. Used once a academic year as sports day, campus also have a volleyball court and basketball court not maintained properly.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are not so helpful in the studies as expected and not much knowledgeable as should be. The teaching quality is poor for the higher studies, lack of quality teaching among the teachers must be upgraded. The course is better but the studies should be upgraded for the fast generation with old studies for the fast world the board is the horrible thing for engineering, which is spread across the state ruining students life with inappropriate results as for the exams written, many dropouts appear among the students due to the horrible board curriculum and it doesn't make the students industry fit to this fast generation.
Other: After 12th I opt to choose mechanical engineering course which is the better course for career, with best job opportunities. The course syllabus must be changed and updated for the better and quality education student industry. The college organise fest for each academic year and many sports activities, there is not good transportation facility for the college students for travelling.

The infrastructure of the college is good but not many facilities are provided.
Placements: Placements are provided in the final year of the course, so I don't have much idea about it. I can say that not many placements are provided in the college. As the college is away from the city, well-reputed companies usually don't visit the college to offer placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The campus is huge. There is an issue with transportation, as the college is located in the rural area. Though BTMC arrives according to the timings, it causes difficulty for the students travelling by government buses.
Faculty: The faculty for engineering are not good enough for certain reasons. They are not much polite to the students, but it's exceptional. The faculty are not much helpful. The course curriculum of engineering is according to VTU. I recommend not to join the colleges affiliated to VTU.
Other: Fests are conducted in the college, but they are not much good compared to other colleges in Bangalore. No Wi-Fi facility is provided. The campus crowd is average. There is a forest in the surroundings of the campus.

Overall, the college is average.
Placements: The placements are good, but the students of every branch can't get placed. Many students get good jobs. Compared to our senior students, our batch students got good placements. Only 2 companies visited MA College and selected only a few students.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in our college are average. All the facilities are available in the college. Wi-Fi facility is available, but the speed is low. Classrooms are average. The library is good. Medical facilities provided are good. A big playground is available. The food provided in the canteen is not good compared to other colleges. The hostel is bad.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are good and kind. They are very helpful to students. They give good opportunities for the students to grow. Their teaching is very good. We didn't get any industry exposure. It is provided only for the mechanical students.
Other: Only a few events are conducted in our college compared to other colleges. The fest conducted is average. The campus crowd is average. Connectivity is low. The campus surroundings are not good. The scholarships are provided, but the process is very slow. Not many extracurricular activities are conducted.

My experience in this college.
Placements: Being recession period no placements were made, and no companies were invited. The mechanical engineering did not get campus placements. Hence, I found my own. The college gave good training for placement interviews which boosted the confidence for students.
Infrastructure: The college was with good infrastructure. Big ground fields with lush green landscapes are available. Dedicated buildings for each section associated with auditorium and laboratories. A good library with digital and analogue literature are provided in the college. The college has big hostels serving different cuisines food with southern and northern accents.
Faculty: The teachers were well-qualified with masters and PhD. The teachers are having good experience in different engineering streams. Each year the extracurricular activities are organised for each department as well as the whole college. The fest is organised for 3 days.

Behalf of the high fee structure, college camps is good, greenish and it has a large playground.
Placements: Fewer placements were offered for the mechanical students. But many IT companies visit, and they offer the placements for CSE, IT and all other branches. The teachers here will not encourage the internships. We have to try on our own. The mechanical engineering is good when compared to all other branches. It's famous college in Bangalore for the mechanical engineering.
Infrastructure: The campus is big, Jiofi is available, labs and classroom are very good. The food in the canteen is not good, but many other hotels are available at the front gate like Chinese, North Indian and Kerala. The hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. And again it's expensive, no hot water for boys hostel. If you get any scholarships, you will not get your money soon, even though you have paid your all fees.
Faculty: The teachers are good and friendly. Some teachers are strict about the assignments and others. The mechanical department is strict when compared to all other branches. The fee is little high and also behalf of the college fee and tuition fees. They take money from the students for almost every silly things like bluebooks, aprons, exam fees and some other stuff.

Satisfied with teaching faculty, infrastructure, but disappointed with poor placements, management
Placements: I am a mechanical engineering student passed out in 2016. There werevery poor placements, so don't think about that here. Two or three companies had come but they were IT companies, not core companies. Overall, no placements for mechanical engineering students.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, it is a big campus spread over 70 acres. There will be no Wi-Fi facilities on the campus. A library will be there. For medical facilities, there will be medical college beside. For sports, there is a big ground and you can enjoy the outdoor sports environment. Hostel rooms are pathetic with a lot of rules in them. It is better to stay in any PG outside. I didn't face any infrastructure issues during my tensure.
Faculty: Overall, the faculty team is good in our branch. They are knowledgeable and qualified, but some youngsters are also there who are manageable. The student-faculty ratio will be 60:10. We didn't get any industry exposure during our period because they didn't allow us to any industrial visit during our period.
Other: Overall, a good campus with different multilingual students from different states and different countries also. The college is for average students. There are good cultural activities like college fests and all. I recommend this to only medium range students, it is not suitable for topper students.

Don't choose this college. It will be a mistake if you do.
Placements: There are very rare placements from the mechanical department and there is no core company coming to this college. A placement department is there, but most of the students are going for off-campus interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Most of the machines are working properly but the only issue is electricity as there is power cut with but no alternative for that. A generator is there but they are not using it, so half of the day, we have to spend time without electricity. Fans are there in rooms but are placed very high from the ground level.
Faculty: The faculty fee is due for the last 5 months. Most of them are leaving and newcomers are coming to teach with zero experience. They are not so supportive in most of the matters as they are forced by the management to enforce rules on students. They are not paying attention towards students' welfare.
Other: This college is made to make money by hook or crook. The education quality is poor and the management is forcing students to give money without any reason and harassing them if not paid. They even charged for a crash course but when inquired about it, they lied that it is from the university side. They then forced and blackmailed students that they will be detained.
