Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is a good and big college.
Placements: Around 70% of students will be placed every year based on the percentage scored in their exams. Most of the seniors are selected for Bosch and one of the seniors is selected for the armed forces we are proud to be here.
Infrastructure: Our college has different building blocks for each course, every single building has Wi-Fi facilities and an updated smart classroom with a green board. A separate building for our library, it has two floors which are good and big.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and have a good teaching quality they don't only make us learn what is there in the book they help us with everything related to studies. Life lessons are also taught by some teachers to lead our life. We have the best teachers.
Other: our college ranked 7 in Karnataka.

Placement officer of our college plays an important role in this college.
Placements: A few core companies visited our campus for recruitment. The average salary package offered was 3.8 LPA. A good number of companies visit here to recruit students from branches like computer science, electronics, biotechnology and similar branches. Opportunities available to the mechanical branch were low.
Infrastructure: Our college provides only the necessary facilities, and there is not any fancy or luxurious facility. Labs have the necessary equipment, and the library had most of the books which are needed for reference. The canteen served decent food at a reasonable price but was a little good compared to the canteens of other colleges. There are good grounds for sports.
Faculty: There was a combination of all kinds of lecturers. Some were experienced, professional and were very arrogant. Few of them had excellent knowledge but weren't very good at handling class and making it interesting. The syllabus of VTU was outdated.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty.
Placements: About 60% of the students are placed in Mechanical Branch. The highest package was 5 LPA and average package 2.5 LPA. Continental Automotive was the top core company that visited the college. No one got internship offer from Mechanical Branch. Design engineer was the top role offered in Mechanical engineering.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are not good, not every classroom has projector installed. Students have to relocate if the teacher wants to teach through the PPT. Library is not well maintained. Hostel and mess facilities are not upto the mark. Food was not that good and hostel rooms were average.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified but teaching quality is below average. The course is relevant. If one has an interest in Mechanical then try for some top colleges in Bengaluru like BIT, MS Ramaiyah, PESIT, then take admission through COMEDK.
Other: I chose this course because it is an evergreen branch.

I am dissatisfied because of poor placements.
Placements: Placements in the last batch were very poor. Almost 20% of the students got placed last year. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered 2 LPA. The college does not provide internship to students. There is a placement cell for students, and it is pretty helpful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty average. Classrooms are very small with very less number for fans than required. Library and labs are properly maintained. The quality of the food served in the canteen is pretty good. Hostel rooms are the worst. I faced many problems with the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and quite knowledgeable. But they are partial to the localities, and north Indians have to face a lot of problems. They help you with projects and assignments. In my two years, I did not get an industry visit so far. Hence industrial exposure is null.

It is a bad college in terms of location, infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The college does not provide placements for core branches. Placements in our college are bad. Only for IT sector companies visit our campus for placements. Most of them are mass recruiters and offer the lowest salary package. There was a time when this college had better placement but not now.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide Wi-Fi facility. Labs and classrooms are bad. The library is the worst. Medical and sports and games facilities are also bad. The college canteen is more like a mess. The college does not provide canteen in the hostel. So the only option left is the college canteen that also closes at 4 pm. The college has a few buildings which are very old.
Faculty: Mechanical faculty members are the worst thing in the entire college. They are unprofessional. They don't know anything about the course curriculum. Their behaviour is bad with students. You can choose any other course but not mechanical in this college. They don't support students in doing a project.
Other: The only good thing about this college is its college fest which is organised for 2 days every year. Other than that this college doesn't support for any events or fest or extracurricular activities. Most of the teachers are demotivating.

I am dissatisfied with the placements. The infrastructure is average. Faculty are good.
Placements: Placements for our senior batch were below average. Only 30% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Very few students got internships from college. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 40,000, whereas the lowest stipend offered was nil. The placement cell is very efficient.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty average. Classrooms are in average conditions with not much room for comfort. The library and sports ground are good. The food served in the canteen is also good. Hostel rooms are not at all in good condition.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are quite knowledgeable and helpful. The quality of teaching is good. The conventional method of teaching is used here, like orally and using chalkboard. I have been to two industries from college, so I got some industry exposure. Overall the course curriculum is more or less useful.
Other: The campus is located far from the city. Many events are held in a year. The campus crowd is good.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty members, placements, infrastructure.
Placements: During my final year, the placement for the mechanical branch was about 10%, and for other core branches, it is same except for CS and IT branch having placement about 70%. If you are taking admission to this college, never opt mechanical branch. Otherwise, you will regret. All the best for your future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not good. The lab facility is poor, and teachers are horrible knowing nothing about subjects. Nothing is good here. Buildings are too old, and the fans are not working in classrooms, the tube lights are also not working properly. There is so much of space for building a proper structure, but trustees are not interested in investment.
Faculty: The course curriculum is only for giving you a degree but not knowledge. The faculty members are horrible, and they are also not cooperative except few. The syllabus is not completed on time, there is no one to clear your doubts, and it seems like you are still in school not in college.
Other: Don't take admission here.

An average college in terms of everything.
Placements: Good placements are available for those who are in CS IS, EC branches. For rest, it's average. For mechanical, it is a bit harder as core companies that visit the college are few in number. Overall, I can say that its placements are well enough. Under VTU, there is no more chance of getting placed when compared to other autonomous colleges in this level.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average, not much of modern facilities are available, except the main building, where all the offices are built and have a decent infrastructure. The college has one main building, also called new block or CS block, a science block for 1st-year students, a civil & electrical block, a mechanical block behind it, there is a mechanical workshop, a library block, canteen and all other stuff.
Faculty: The teachers are good and maybe not best but good. The branch teachers are better as compared to basic science teachers. Some teachers are awesome while some are not so. Very few North Indian teachers are there in the faculty. They are not chilled as compared to other college faculty members.
Other: Many fests or events are organised throughout the year. 2 most important fests are Verve and Kalanjali. There are a lot of extracurricular activities to take part, but teachers don't like them.
