I had a good college experience, but the facilities are average.

Placements: There is no placement cell for the environmental science department in Fergusson College. The teachers also don't make any effort to get us jobs or provide any internships related to the field. You need to work on it yourself and apply wherever and whenever you get a chance.

Infrastructure: The department has a good life sciences library with a proper collection of reference books. There is no Wi-Fi or availability of the network inside the class. There are 2 labs with the latest equipment. The quality of food in the mess is decent enough.

Faculty: The teachers are great and very knowledgeable, but you have to be in constant touch with them to garner all the knowledge that you want. The course curriculum is very up to date and based on the latest technologies, but to be industry-ready, you have to work harder.

Other: Environmental Science is an upcoming and emerging field, and there's a lot of scope in it in the future. The only thing that I wish someone told me before is to keep doing extracurriculars and grab all the internship opportunities that you can while studying. The crowd of this college is amazing, and it will provide you with one of the best college experiences ever.

Great college if you want to enjoy college life. The worst college if you want to get knowledge.

Placements: Placements are quite rare in Fergusson college. The students of the environmental science department mostly get the job of a professor. You have to join other courses if you want to get placed. Please focus on improving yourself than just pursuing a degree. The course doesn't include financial education, so it's better to learn on our own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure or the college campus is among the best. I took admission just because of its campus. It's lush green everywhere. We have a big library, a playground and lots of classrooms. Wi-Fi is available for 24 hours, and you must know the password from the management. Every department has a separate building where practical sessions are carried out. Parking area and staff are great.

Faculty: Teachers here are knowledgeable but aren't able to deliver their knowledge properly. We ourselves have to ask questions to clear our doubts. Many tests are conducted here, so it makes our doubts clear. Teachers are helpful only if you ask for help. There is not much focus on education, and rather they give importance to attendance.

Other: Fest is held in December and is one of the best perks of taking admission in the college. The campus is huge, and people from different parts of the world come here to study. So one can state that the college hs a good reputation. Extracurricular activities are carried out almost every day but you must be active enough to know about them. NSS and NCC are among the most active programmes, and it's quite fun to join those programmes.
