GITAM University review – Average.

Placements: 70% of students from GITAM School of Technology got a job in 2025. The highest salary is 79 LPA, and the lowest is 3.6 LPA. Students are hired for jobs like software developer, data analyst, machine learning engineer, and cybersecurity specialist. Companies like Oracle and RealPage hire many students. Some big companies like Microsoft and Amazon also hire a few students for high-paying jobs. Many students also got internships at well-known companies like Amazon, TCS, and Wipro.

Infrastructure: The college buildings are neat and well maintained. The library is huge and neat. The housekeeping staff maintain everything well, and it is easy to navigate around the building. The labs are really good, and there are some new labs where students can work on projects on their own. The library contains a lot of books and is maintained very well.

Faculty: Faculty is decent, some teachers are good. Students have to participate and reach out to the mentors. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not completely prepare students for the industry, however, they do provide opportunities to do so. The pass percentage is 25%.

Other: I chose AIML because I am interested in AI. The best part about this course is that the market for AI is huge. I wish there were some AI projects I could work on to gain experience. There are some fests in the college, but not very often. The fests are fun and engaging. GITAM University provides lots of scholarships through the GAT exam.

Infrastructure: It's somewhat good compared to other colleges. Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is about 800 students. The lowest, highest, and average packages offered in my course are as the lowest is 3 LPA, the highest is 24 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are Bosch, IBM, and Wipro. The percentage of students who got internships from my course is 57%, and companies like IBM, Google, Microsoft, etc. The top roles offered in my course are web designer, developer, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my course department are Wi-Fi, but our mobile signal is not available. Labs and classrooms are average, and the library is also average. The quality of facilities in my hostel and the quality of food available in the mess and the canteen is below average. Medical facilities are available in the hostel, and sports and games are also available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good with some faculty members. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are like average papers in this college. The pass percentage is 35% or 5 points out of 100.

My experience in my college.

Placements: Around 60% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 24 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. The top companies are Infosys, Hexaware, Deltax, Wipro, Accenture, and TCS. Around 50% of students get internships at companies like TCS, Accenture, and Hexaware in data analysis.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, AC, CAD labs, canteen, bookshop, and auditorium are available. Facilities in our hostel include rooms, food, Wi-Fi, washing machines, and reasonable PG fees. The canteen in our college is good, with quality food at a reasonable price. The medical facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are experienced and speak fluent English. They are very helpful in clarifying doubts and explaining with suitable examples. The course I have taken is very useful for the future. The exam pattern is very easy to pass. The pass percentage is 80%.

Other: I chose this course, with my interest. By learning many things, I can improve my knowledge and skills. The events are conducted with so much interest, and they help to overcome stage fear.

Placements: In my year, nearly 800 students opted for placements. In 800, 600 students are placed in placements with an average package of 4.5 LPA. In 2025, the highest package from Oracle is 14.5 LPA. The remaining companies are from BNG and some popular well-known companies like TCS, Cognizant and Accenture came for recruitment.

Infrastructure: It has good infrastructure in the hostel, mess, and academics.

Faculty: It has good lectures with good experience. It has industrial skills in learning tech sack, version control systems, and DSA. We learn DSA with C language up to linear DSA. Who will learn DSA in C, and it's okay to learn DSA in any language. From starting, if we are able to start with Python or Java, students will get sufficient knowledge. Design analysis and algorithms subject explanations are great and explained clearly.

Other: I studied CSE with a cybersecurity specialisation. For namesake, it is cybersecurity but they only teach technical and theoretical knowledge. Very less companies, i.e., one or two came that too off-campus opportunities in cybersecurity specialisation. I suggest students do not choose specialisation in any college except IIT, NIT and some private colleges like VIT, and RVCE Bangalore. Many colleges don't focus on specialisations and they solely focus on the foundation skills of CSE. Events and fests are very rare. It focuses on academics because they say only one reason there is a lack of interest in students. Despite interest, it conducts any big cultural events, and there is no sufficient space. Our playground is our fest area that's it.

I never regretted taking this college for my B.Tech, and it is worth it for me.

Placements: It is good, but jobs will only be acquired by those who study very well, and for average students, it is somewhat difficult. Companies that come for the placement drives are good, but packages are low. The career guidelines center is excellent in its work. If we definitely follow the work, they say we will definitely get placed, but we also should maintain our GPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in both the hostel and the campus. It is good enough for those who want to study. Hostels are very good and better than the campus. They are still building so many things, like a temple, one more hostel block, which is very good. Expanding the campus is good for the upcoming students.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent for so many subjects, but some do not know anything but reading the PPT. The course curriculum, internal and external ways, is good. There are also faculty members who are very strict in starting, but we won't like them, and eventually, we will understand that we want more of them.
