Heritage is a place where you can know your hidden potential and can enjoy the college life.
Placements: I got placed in TCS, and I'm currently working in TCS. TCS was the mass recruiter for the batch of 2016 as it hired more than 500 students out of 700. So, getting placement is like a piece of cake if you are studying in Heritage. Later or sooner everyone gets placed in the college placements. So don't think of placement too much, just enjoy the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is top-class. It is one of the best compared to other colleges. You get the feeling of that you are present in some abord university. Computer labs, common rooms, and library are underground and great. Classrooms are well-maintained, and some of the classrooms have air-conditioners. Heritage got two canteens. One is labour canteen and the other is main canteen. The main canteen is very big and gets congested during breaks as most of the student's gossips rather than to eat. Quality of food is average, so I will suggest bringing food from home as home food is healthy.
Faculty: My stream was ECE, so in the first year, we didn't get much exposure to electronics subject. My advice is to be very regular in the 1st year, so the other department faculty members will never exaggerate your practical marks. So, if you are not regular, they may give you a C or D grade. My first-year grades were very poor due to my practical and internal marks. Attend the soft skill classes as it will help you in every stage of your life. Some teachers are extremely knowledgeable and got good teaching skills, and some don't have good teaching skills. Apart from that, teachers in our college are extremely helpful and supportive.
Other: The fest is an interesting part of our college. We used to wait the entire year for our main cultural fest as it is the best among other colleges, so don't miss the fest. I am having goosebumps while writing this as I can't express the feeling in my words. Many clubs like music, dance, acting, etc., are conducted in the college, and that is why heritage is known as the second home.

Q:   Does Heritage Institute of Technology accept JEE score?
A:

For admission to the B.Tech programme, Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) does recognise JEE scores. Actually, in addition to WBJEE, one of the primary requirements for admission is JEE scores. Below is a summary of the admissions procedure:

  • WBJEE ranks are used to fill 80% of B.Tech seats. For HIT, this is the main method of admission.
  • JEE (Main) ranks are used to fill 10% of the seats. For those who have not taken WBJEE or have not performed well on it, this offers a another option.
  • The Management Quota is used to fill the remaining 10% of seats. These seats are distributed in accordance with the institute's established standards as well as merit.

The minimum JEE score required varies based on the B.Tech programme and category (General, OBC, SC/ST) for admission to HIT. But generally speaking, to get considered for the majority of popular programmes like Computer Science & Engineering, you'll need a JEE Main score above 60000. Cutoff scores may be higher in specialty disciplines and slightly lower in less competitive programmes.
