IIIT Una was established in 2014, and it takes time for an institution to develop a full-fledged faculty team. However, IIITs in India generally strive to maintain a high standard of education and research. They often hire faculty members who have strong academic backgrounds, research experience, and expertise in their respective fields. IIIT Una is based on GATE scores followed by the GATE CCMT Counselling conducted for candidates seeking admission to M.Tech courses. The candidates who qualify for GATE 2023 are called for the GATE CCMT counselling process. GATE Counselling 2023 was held for up to four rounds for IIIT Una. According the cutoff list released by IIIT Una for admission to its flagship BTech programme the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) in the year 2021, 2022 & 2023 was 41419, 28324 & 30243 respectively. This clearly shows that the closing rank for the CSE branch at IIIT Una increased excessively in the year 2022 with respect to the year 2021 but it couldn’t maintain that growth for very long and crashed down to 30243 in the current year 2023 which makes the lowers the difficulty level for those who are willing to enrol in BTech in CSE at IIIT Una. Also, the same trend is followed by the Information Technology branch whose closing rank in the years 2021 & 2022 was 48004 & 31492, respectively but it also slumped down to 37091 in the current year 2023. In addition to this, BTech in Electronics & Communication was no different as it also followed the graph of the former two BTech branches.

For admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una, eligible candidates can apply for the counselling process through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).

• Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
• Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)

IIIT Una JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for the fourth round. The cutoff has been released for different categories belonging to the All India quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the range of cutoff fell between 31801 and 38277. 

Therefore, with this cutoff range, it is possible to get admission to the college with a rank of 30000 in JEE Main. 

IIIT Una cutoff for M.Tech is based on GATE scores followed by the GATE CCMT Counselling. GATE CCMT Counselling 2023 was held upto Round 4. The closing ranks for IIIT Una cutoff other than General category for M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is mentioned below: 

• 322 for OBC 
• 232 for SC 
• 363 for EWS 

IIIT Una cutoff 2025 for round 4 has been released. The cutoff was released for admission to various BTech specialisations, across different categories belonging to the All India quota. The range of cutoff among the General AI category was between 31801 and 38277. Therefore, among the General AI category candidates, getting admission to the college at 20000 rank is possible. 

IIIT Una, through three schools of study, offers postgraduate, undergraduate, and various other courses to students across Engineering and several other streams. Some of the schools of study under the IIIT UNA are School of Computing, School of Electronics, and School of Basic Sciences. IIIT UNA is now also offering postgraduate courses to students in various specialisations.

IIIT Una has collaborated with various colleges, industries, and universities. IIIT Una has signed MoUs with various organisations, industries, and companies. Some of the IIIT Una collaborations are IIT Ropar, IIT Mandi, HPTU Hamirpur, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College & Hospital, Nerchowk, Mandi (HP), and others. It is seen in the past that the college collaborations have helped the students and the college to grow. As these collaborations lead to guest lectures, student and faculty exchange programmes, and others.

Starting the JEE Main preparation from class 11 or 12 is the best time. As JEE Main syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12, students can easily cover all the topics along with school. Students can begin by checking the topics that is covered in both school and JEE Main and give special attention to them. For all three subjects, study NCERT and also take help from reference books. Understand the concepts thoroughly and solve numerical problems. To crack JEE Main along with class 12, students should devote at least 2-3 hours for JEE beside class 12 studies. Regularly solve JEE Main mock test and solve previous year question papers to evaluate the performance.

Students can easily crack JEE Main exam if they make a study plan and follow a strategy. The first step to clear JEE Main 2026 is to understand the JEE syllabus and exam pattern clearly. Check which topics are asked in the exam and what are the types of questions. Identify the JEE Main topics that are similar to class 11 and 12 and start studying them along with the school classes. The second advice is to make a time table for your study. Ideally, 6-8 hours of study is sufficient for JEE Main. Students should choose a time which suits them best. They can study in night or morning or both. It is important that they give at least 3 hours daily specifically for JEE Main preparation. Selecting the right study materials/books is also very important for JEE Main preparation. It is advised that students begin their preparation by studying the NCERT books thoroughly and then advance to additional books. The most important advice in clearing the JEE Main is not to over-burden yourself with the preparation. 

There is no such provision for direct admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una. IIIT Una accepts admission for the BTech programme based on a valid rank in JEE-Main. Candidates aspiring to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una must take the JEE-Main exam conducted by NTA by filling out the its application form through JEE official website. Candidates having JEE-Main rank above the closing rank specified in the cut-off list released by the college can apply for the counselling process where they can fill their branch preferences followed by document verification and fee payment.

There is no such provision for direct admission in the M.Tech programme at IIIT Una. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech programme at IIIT Una must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidate should have done BTech in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
• Also, candidates should have valid GATE scores based on which they will be selected for further admission process. Those having GATE score/ rank above the closing rank can apply for the counselling process through CCMT.
• Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment.
