College is very good with the IIT tag.
Placements: Currently, I am in the 2nd semester, but as per the seniors' advice, the placement cell is not so good here. Only a few students from the very first batch got internships, and also at a very low package. I do not have the correct data on how many students get placed, but it is not too many.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Hostels are also good and well-maintained. The mess food is above average and not so good. We would not feel bad on campus because there are so many sports to play, indoors or outdoors, and of course, I must say that it's not enough.
Faculty: The subjects taught here are very good. However, the way they teach is a little boring and not very good. If they bring experienced faculty members, then it will have a greater impact, but now they bring new faculty members, who I think have just completed their course.

Absolutely the best college for the best student.
Placements: Placement shares are quite good. Around 76% of the way to go to place in the last year. Highest package was 25 LPA, and average package was 2 LPA, as per my seniors. Internships are plenty, and some students get international offers, startups offer about 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities here are pretty good. Students get access to clean water and hygienic food in the canteen with great service. The library's wide collection of books, full stop, hostels are spacious and provide comfortable living space. Classrooms are equipped with AC and a smart board. Overall, the management focuses on keeping the campus clean and providing all the basic resources students need.
Faculty: The faculty here genuinely cares about the students. They are always ready to explain concept multiple times if needed. Many teachers have industry experience that improves our skills. The supportive environment helps weak students catch up with rest of the class.
Other: Best thing about the courses is that you can easily get a package or internship from a good company.

A good research environment with supportive faculty but needs stronger industry connections.
Placements: As a student from the 2022 batch of IIT Patna, M.Sc. Zoology, I can confirm that around 30% of students got placed. The highest package is around 6 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA, and the average package is close to 4 LPA. There are several factors to consider, but the overall placement is very good.
Infrastructure: Faculty is high-class, the classrooms are good, and all the things are very good. The Zoology department at IIT Patna has good labs with modern equipment for practicals. Classrooms are clean and have projectors. Wi-Fi is available across campus and works well. The library is well-stocked with books and journals, including materials for life sciences.
Faculty: The course curriculum is more academic and research-focused. It is not fully industry-oriented, so students may need extra training or courses to be industry-ready. Adding more practicals, workshops, and industry exposure would improve it. It's quite good.
Other: The best things about the course are the experienced and supportive faculty, good lab facilities, and the focus on research work. The environment encourages learning and practical understanding. However, the course should include more industry-oriented topics, an updated syllabus, and skill-based training. Placement and internship support also need improvement.

Indian Institute of Technology Patna college review.
Placements: I am a B.Tech civil graduate from the class of 23, and placement-wise, it went pretty well. About 85% of us landed jobs. The best package was 45 LPA, while the lowest was about 8 LPA, averaging around 17 LPA to 18 LPA. We had some big names recruiting, like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and Infosys. Plus, around 70% of us got internships at places such as Microsoft and Adobe. Most of us got jobs as developers, data analysts, and stuff like that.
Infrastructure: College offered well-maintained rooms equipped with necessary amenities. Library provided a peaceful, noise-free environment conducive to study, with a wide range of books. College canteen served nutritious food options for students. Hostel facilities were not upto that mark but ensured complete comfort for students. The mess served hygienic food, and the water supply was well-managed.
Faculty: Exam protocols were strictly followed, ensuring security and fairness. Teachers were attentive, but administrative mismanagement often causes confusion. Despite this, the academic environment was decent, balancing theory with practical learning. The faculty members were both skilled and supportive.

Valuable online learning with iit tag and great campus immersion experience.
Placements: Around 10-20% students got placed through self-application. The highest package was approximately 6-8 LPA. The average package was around 3-4 LPA. The lowest package offered was about 2 LPA. Top companies include TCS iON, Cognizant, Wipro, and Fractal Analytics. Internships were secured by 30-40% students. Intern companies include startups, Internshala, and LinkedIn-based roles. Top roles offered are Data Analyst, Python Developer, ML Intern, and BI Associate. No official placement cell yet for the online course. Students with strong projects got better opportunities. Self-learning and active job search are important for success. The IIT brand adds weight to a resume, but no placement guarantee.
Infrastructure: The course is online, but campus immersion offers an in-person experience. Free hostel stay during the immersion period. Free food is provided in the mess during immersion. Wi-Fi, library, labs, and classrooms are fully accessible. Medical facilities are available on campus. Students can freely use the sports and game areas. Immersion gives a short but real IIT campus life feel.
Faculty: All faculty members are from IIT Patna. They are experienced, helpful, and explain concepts clearly. Live classes, doubt sessions, and recordings are available. The curriculum is modern and industry-oriented. It includes Python, ML, and States. Practical projects and assignments build real-world skills. Exams are moderate, mostly MCQ and application-based. The pass percentage is high if students follow the course properly.

The B.Sc. in Computer Science and Data Analytics at IIT Patna is a value-for-money deal for me.
Placements: Placements for the first batch of scores happen in 2026, so clearly mentioning some records about the placement is a big difficult right now. They have created a WhatsApp group for careers and placements for hybrid students, where they constantly give links and forms for internships going on everywhere around the country. This is the only support we get from their side. The overall placement record of my college is very good, with an of around 16 to 17 LPA, but this also includes placements of hybrid students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel for the canteen provides affordable food. Sports facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor. The gymkhana also includes a gym. We are not allowed to use the gym, but we are free to explore the rest of the gymkhana. There are two different messes one for us and one for regular B.Tech students and there is a difference in food quality between the both.
Faculty: Faculty members of IIT Patna mainly monitor the course, while some other professors do give lectures. The curriculum of the scores is bulit around how students develop real-life problem-solving and relevant skills for industry practices. Exams occur regularly at the end of the semester in online mode on a safe Browser. Which carries 50% weightage of marks and rest 50% for quizzes and assignments. We have to build one project for 100 marks in the semester that has to be evaluated by respective faculty members. This course is the same as for regular offline students pursuing B.Tech. We get to explore the campus for 8 to 10 days each semester, usually during periods when most B.Tech students are on leave.
Other: The reason for me chosing this course is the IIT tag that is displayed on my certificate when I receive the degree. This experience would be even better if the mess food quality are standard. We do get to attend fests and other on-campus extracurricular activities. We also have access to the campus anytime in the whole year, but without any access to hostels and classes rest the campus we can explore all with our ID cards provided by the institute.
