Average placements, but overall life is good at IIT Ropar.

Placements: By late December, less than 40% of the overall batch had been placed, with many securing PPOs. In the Civil department, placements are particularly low due to companies often excluding non-circuital students. The highest package offered in Civil is 18 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA. Top recruiters include BPCL, Trident, and LnT. For internships, only Bechtel visited for Civil Core, hiring 1 student out of 33. However, about 50% of Civil students secured internships, mainly in non-core roles.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are really good. We have a whole new block for the Civil department, centrally air-conditioned, and have all kinds of equipment in all kinds of labs with all the modern technologies. Now, if we talk about the facilities in my hostel, we are given really beautiful hostels with good-quality furniture. There are issues with Wi-Fi, but everything else is good, whether you talk about the mess and canteen, sports and games, or medical facilities. Medical facilities are also available anytime, which is a good thing.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but some professors are unhelpful and do not create a friendly environment for doubts, occasionally displaying bias in grading. The course curriculum is industry-relevant, supported by industrial visits that aid practical understanding. The difficulty is moderate (6/10), with a 30% pass percentage for most courses, though the outcome can vary depending on the professors.

I'm satisfied with the decision of choosing IIT, Ropar.

Placements: The placements and training here are good, with students going abroad for doing their internships. Placements were around 90% for the senior batch, i.e., 2018 batch. The average salary package offered for this batch was around 12 LPA. So, the placement scenario here is good.

Infrastructure: In IIT Ropar, we have Wi-Fi facilities in campus and hostels as well. Classrooms are good with centralised AC. We have a good resourceful library here. Students have access to many sports equipment which includes cricket, tennis, football, and basketball, etc.

Faculty: The teachers here are greatly qualified from some great academic institutes. They are experienced and highly knowledgeable. The faculty to student ratio is quite good here. Students are provided with some frequent industrial visits for training purpose.

IIT Ropar, is very good in every aspect.

Placements: Every year more than 90% of the students got placed in the computer science engineering. Students got placed with an average package of Rs. 12 lacs per annum. Premier companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Paypal, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Coal India Limited visited the college.

Infrastructure: IIT Ropar believes the learning environment plays a very important role in the whole education process. There are four campus hostels, Jupiter, Mercury, Neptune for boys and venus hostel for girls. There are two libraries in IIT Ropar. Presently, IIT Ropar has one cricket field, three cricket practice pitches, a football field, two volleyball fields, a gymnasium, and many other grounds.

Faculty: The institute is privileged to host faculty who have distinguished themselves as teachers, researchers and consultants. The undergraduate academic programmes of the IITs are known for their rigour, intensity and demands made on the students. The curriculum is made for students benefits.

Other: IIT Ropar has their own technical and sports fest as Advitya and Aarohan. The distance between Chandigarh city and IIT Ropar is just 52 km.

IIT ropar is just amazing because of its faculty members and students.

Placements: Placement of IIT ropar is very good. Average package of IIT ropar is 12 lacs per annum. It is an increase of 10 % compared tothe last season. Every year more than 90 % students placed of the computer Science engineering. This is best place to explore your ideas.

Infrastructure: IIT ropar is one of the eight new iits. In IIT ropar there are two computer lab with AC rooms. Sports facilities of IIT ropar is very good. There is a sbi branch in this college and atm machine outside the campus. The Institute has a medical center adjacent to the hostel complex.

Faculty: Faculty members at the Institute have acquired years of research. The professor are known authorities of their respective fields. Many stream are available in this college as computer Science engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering (all are four year courses).

Other: IIT ropar is near to Chandigarh city. Satluj river is near to the college. There are many types of events like boca, boast, bosa,. .
