Review of JCE - Jaya Engineering College Thiruninravur Chennai.
Placements: The quality of placements in our college is great. The maximum number of students got placed in my course. The highest package offered is 5 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. The placements are not an easy process. Students should put more effort to get good jobs.
Infrastructure: The college has all the necessary infrastructure and is well-maintained. All the equipment is available in laboratories. Well ventilated classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, library, and sports grounds are properly maintained. There are separate hostels available for both boys and girls. The hostels have Wi-Fi facilities as well. They serve hygienic food.
Faculty: I passed B.E mechanical engineering in 2019. The quality of teaching is very good and understandable. The curriculum is updated and includes recent developments in the field of mechanical engineering and motivate them to achieve our goals to succeed.
Other: Overall, Jaya Engineering College has a very good environment to study.

Review of JCE - Jaya Engineering College Thiruninravur Chennai.
Placements: About 50% of students got placed in TVS and Brakes India Private Limited. The highest salary package offered is 2.05 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.23 LPA and the average salary package offered is 1.64 LPA. TVS and TI are the top recruiting companies for our course. About 40% of the students got an internship in Chennai Port, Advance Training Institute, etc.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are slightly big, and it has windows on both the front and backside of walls. It is very helpful when power cut. Our campus is located about 1.5 km straight inside from Chennai-Thiruvallur state highway, so it gives a pleasant environment. Wi-Fi is available only in the library. Labs are conducted properly with enough instruments, and they are in good condition. Our library is somewhat big, and it has many old books and with limited availability of new books. Our library is maintained properly.
Faculty: Our teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, and some teachers have industrial experience. Their teaching quality is good, and they give imagination ideas. The course curriculum is not relevant because we are studying engineering theoretically but not practically. It will not help students practically to survive in this field.
Other: I have chosen this course because of the wide availability of jobs, and I like it very much. Some additional technical training must be given to students, which is very helpful when they do a job. Annual day, sports day, cultural events and Symposium are conducted each year. Scholarships are given to deserved students under government quota.

I am satisfied as the college has an average infrastructure and hostel.
Placements: Only 5-10% of the students are placed from our college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month, whereas the lowest salary offered was around Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruiter of the college was Ashok Leyland. Only 5% of the students got internships. The importance of learning is given in this department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. As it is an old college, it is a famous college in our area. Labs are good, and classrooms are average. The library of the college is fine. The hostel is also an average. Students complain about the food served. Sports in college are very rare because their motto is to get good marks.
Faculty: Our teachers are good at teaching, and they are highly qualified with great knowledge about the subject. The course curriculum is not making the students ready for industry. The syllabus has to be redefined.
Other: The best part of this course is that it has good scope and standards in the industry.

You can become an engineer, but with no knowledge about engineering as there are many exams.
Placements: None of the students from our course got placed. In our college, the placements are not yet started. It will take a few more months to start. Some of us have done internships on ICF, Chennai Port. More exams are conducted, but there is less time for practical experience.
Infrastructure: The college has poor infrastructure, but there is freedom for learning. Hostels are not maintained properly. Many complaints will be filed from students on food and cleanliness. There is no sports encouragement.
Faculty: You can able to learn technical knowledge from practical experience. Staff and technical staff members are there to help and explore some new ideas from us. All teachers are qualified, and some may not be suitable for this job. Every people complain about college management for not taking any action. All staff are really helpful for the betterment of us. Our college encourages extracurricular activities. I hope that would be helpful for us in industrial circumstances.
Other: I like to be a mechanical engineer, and I am very much fascinated about innovation. They must include practical section over the theory which would help in learning. I have participated in many events to explore more in my field. Some of them are conducted by our college.

Dissatisfied after joining this college.
Placements: Very fewer students have been placed. The highest salary is Rs.20,000. No core companies have come to our college only IT companies that too very rare. The highest role is supervisor. The average package is 3.5L. Only 20 percent students got an internship.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility, The lab and classroom are average when compared to other colleges. , the library is good. The hostel is better but the food is not so good and there is no proper medical facilities and sports are done only during the tournament session.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Some teachers are excellent in teaching but some are not good at teaching. Some subjects are relevant to the industry but some are not useful to us. These are the details about faculty and course curriculum.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. There were good placements in 2016.
Placements: There were no better placements. Very few companies will be available for placements. The salary offered was Rs. 15,000-25,000 per month. The recruiting companies are Tata Steel, TI, BPOs, etc. The average salary offered for our course was Rs 18,000-40,000 per month. Companies like Royal Enfield, TI, will offer internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is neither that bad nor that good. Wi-Fi will be available at free for hostel students only. There are sophisticated classrooms with a monitoring camera. The food provided in the hostel was not good. It is better to choose outside residential. Sports and games were supported by management.
Faculty: Teachers here were highly qualified with teaching skills. Especially teachers in mechanical department were helpful, kind, and close to students. The best training will be provided to clear the semester exam and gain knowledge by interacting with teachers.
Other: I like the mechanism and machines, so I have chosen mechanical engineering. There should be much more technical knowledge.

It is not worthy of money, but it has a good infrastructure.
Placements: The college does not provide placements. If students want a job, they need to search outside the campus after their degree. TI industry offers job for freshers with a salary of Rs. 12,000 per month. Small companies do not visit our campus, so top companies also do not visit for recruitment. Some of the passed out students working in the production field. About 5% of students got an internship in ICF and Chennai port.
Infrastructure: In the mechanical department, the college does not provide Wi-Fi facility. They won't maintain restrooms properly. Labs are not air-conditioned. Sitting benches are also not good. Some classrooms don't have lights and fans. In the hostel, in some rooms, only one or two lights work. Fans will rotate slowly. On Sunday cleaning is not done in hostel restrooms. There is no equipment for sports.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful. They give coaching to low average students. Some teachers don't know basic things only. But they will create over the scene to the students. In our college, they didn't conduct workshops. They do not make students ready to work in the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because it offers more jobs for students. Nothing should be improved at our college. Only the annual day is organised at our college.

Good college for studies. But no sports, no fests and events are organized.
Placements: 1. About 10 to 15 percent students were placed. 2. The highest salary was 25k, the lowest 12k, average 18k 3. Infosys, Cognizant were the top recruiters 4. DESIGN ENGINEER was the top role offered in Ashok Leyland 5. The highest package 2.5lakh per annum, the lowest 1lakh pa, average 1.5 Lacs pa 6. About 10 percentage of students got internship in Ashok Leyland, ICF, Caterpillar.
Infrastructure: 1. The facilities available are: good quality laboratories with all the equipment. Wi-Fi facility available in internet hours. Classrooms are spacious but resembles school more than a college. Library is huge with large collection of books. 2. The hostel facilities are pretty average. The water is clean and the hostel food is average. Sports and games are not prioritized here.
Faculty: 1. The teachers are very helpful and treat us good. They are qualified and have good technical knowledge about the subjects they take and the laboratories they conduct. 2. Yes the course curriculum is relevant and it helps the students to understand how to get settled in, in the work environment.
Other: 1. Mechanical engineering is considered the most versatile course, hence I chose this course as it allows me to be whatever I want in the future. 2. To have a little more technical laboratories for my course would be better. And to have a hands on workshop every week for robotics. 3. Just annual day, symposiums and sports day are held. No fests are conducted here.
