My experience at this college.
Placements: Actually, our college has few placements and we have to search for a job outside of the campus. Last year, they invited training centers free of cost for placements. Students who selected the course center can do the course free of cost.
Infrastructure: The hostels are of two types one is king and the other one is queen hostel. The queen hostel is located at the main gate, which has a water heater and generator. Kings hostel is located on the side of the lake and there is no water heater or generator.
Faculty: The department faculty members are good. Some faculty members have less knowledge. The course curriculum is good, and it provides coding classes, etc. Basically in every college self study is very important.

Overall, the college is good. There are no issues or discomfort.
Placements: About 50% of students from the computer science engineering course get placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 70,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month. Companies like Infosys and IBM visit the college for placements. About 50% of students from our course got an internship. Top roles like web development and gaming are offered to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It provides good facilities. The quality of food served is good. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian are available here. In the canteen, biscuits, bread, and some limited foods are only available. Medical facilities are good. The college wants to improve in sports and games.
Faculty: In our college, qualified teachers are only teaching us. Teachers are more experienced in knowledge and service. All the teachers have more than 15 years of service in the college. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are good.

It is a good college to learn about technology.
Placements: As I am a 3rd-year student, I am not quite aware of the placement opportunities of our college. But I heard from our seniors that the college provides placement opportunities to a great extent. Alumni of our college have started their own firms, and they also conduct placement drives in our college.
Infrastructure: The CSE department has well-equipped and air-conditioned labs. Among the 5 labs in our department, we have a FOSS lab also. I am a day scholar. The library in our college is equipped enough to satisfy the needs of students.
Faculty: The college has a team of efficient faculty members who are friendly and helpful. It is a good college to improve your technical skills. Almost all the staff members in our department concentrate on enriching our knowledge apart from boosting our grades. Once in every month, we get to interact with our alumni who provide us with the necessary exposure to the competitive environment in the IT industry by sharing their experiences in the tech field.
Other: It is a great college to learn and experiment, but the college does not promote extracurricular activities to a great extent. They are comparatively given the least importance. I have joined this course through management quota. Though there are some flaws in the infrastructure, I think that I have chosen the best that suits my requirements. During the lockdown period, we were encouraged to upgrade our technical skills by organising technical sessions and webinars conducted by renowned personalities in the tech arena.

The CSE branch is the technical hub for everyone.
Placements: Always desired candidates who gained proper knowledge by spending time with technical and academics get placed in reputed MNCs. TCS, Infosys, CTS, Capgemini, M.Sc Technology and a few other top MNCs recruited candidates from our batch. The minimum salary package offered by the company is 2.6 LPA, and the maximum salary package offered is 4 LPA. For internships, head of the department used to suggest startups where we can learn technology-related things more.
Infrastructure: CSE department is the only place where we can spend more time in labs. I used to be in FOSS lab to learn, especially during the 2nd and 3rd year because I can make use of Wi-Fi and LAN with the high bandwidth network connection. During holidays labs will be available. I don't buy books, but instead, I make use of college library books. During exam time, I spend time in libraries because there I can get a quiet and peaceful environment, and also I can refer a lot of books for one subject. Every semester we will be in different classrooms, which is space-efficient with peaceful surroundings.
Faculty: The institution mainly focuses on academic than only other curriculum. All faculty members are knowledgeable and well-trained. Each faculty member is specialised in different technology. Students are reachable to faculty members at any time to discuss academic and technology-related. If anyone wants to learn industrial knowledge and to participate in national-level events, then I strongly recommend the CSE department. Every year, students in our department used to participate in smart India hackathon, which is conducted by MHRD. Even I have participated in all the years and gained a lot of knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because I spent a lot of years with computers, and it's been for 15 years. I have learned how computers are working and how to build software for computers. When I entered college, I get to know that I want to learn a lot about computer software and hardware. The best thing about the course is, apart from the university syllabus courses, I had completed certification courses which are offered by IIT Madras through NPTEL, which is currently known as Swayam. I am one of the students holding extra credits than others. For scholarships, candidates who joined through government quota will surely get it based upon their profile.

It is a decent college with good quality education, and the fees structure is also affordable.
Placements: Placements for CSE students are quite average but are better than other departments. You cannot completely rely upon on-campus recruitment since only a few companies visit our college, but you will be exposed to decent job offerings on off-campus by the placement team. About 10-15% of the students got placed in our batch. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS and Capgemini. The highest package offered is 3.8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is above average, with a spacious campus and good lab facilities. All the computer labs are fitted with air-conditioners and enabled with Wi-Fi. You can use the labs for study purpose even after college hours. One of the attractive labs is FOSS lab, which is mainly meant for providing exposure to the students about the free and open-source software. Classrooms and library are decent and spacious enough. The quality of food served in the canteen is average. You will also be exposed to sports and games, but those things are not given more importance here. The hostel here has decent capacity.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful and supportive. Most of the teachers here are highly skilled and teach with the maximum effort they could. In particular, our department conducts plenty of educational programs, competitions and workshops. However, to become industry ready, we have to take extra efforts on our own for which our staff will be supportive. The course curriculum is the same as provided by Anna University.

The placements, faculty and the infrastructure of the college are good.
Placements: When it comes to placements, this college has been in the mid-level, as 6 out of 10 students are only placed every year. Now, several companies established by alumni of JEC are recruiting graduates from here. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 15,000 per month, and the highest package ranges up to Rs. 50,000 per month. There is a placement cell in the college.
Infrastructure: When it comes to the infrastructure, JEC is better than the rest of the second-tier colleges ranked by Anna University. It has 5 computer labs with one dedicated FOSS. All the labs are fitted with AC, and also Wi-Fi connection is present.
Faculty: When it comes to the faculty, most of them are highly qualified and teach very well, but there are a few who don't have a clear idea yet on how to teach. Industry exposure is one thing you won't get in JEC. Teaching methods used here are the same old-fashioned blackboard techniques. The percentage of learning something practically is very low.

It is an average college, where people can study and grow on their own.
Placements: Regarding the placement cell, they have invited every startup company to our college. But the thing is they could not take many students, and the packages they offered are also very low compared to big companies like Infosys, CTS, TCS etc. My suggestion is to bring most number of big companies to recruit us towards our career growth and exposure. Most probably, 50% of the students can be placed somehow. But the balance 50% of the students can face difficulties to get a job outside. The maximum package would be 2.4 LPA. My batch and senior batch, we didn't even go the internship to any company and IV too. So, they should do some changes in the placement towards the student's career.
Infrastructure: I didn't even face any infrastructure problem during my college days. Every classroom and labs are too good. There are medical facilities and also sports facilities. Hostel rooms are also good enough to stay. But the main thing is the canteen, that is bad compared to other colleges. Food is not much good in my college, to be honest.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful for the students. Their teaching is good enough to learn some new things, but not everyone. Some faculty members are not much knowledgeable, even compared to students. Some faculty members could not teach practically. There is no industry exposure, that's is the worst thing in my college, but they are grasping some money regarding that in the fees structure. Theoretically, the course was useful but not practically. The industries only recruit the students, who have practical knowledge.
Other: My college won't do big events like cultural, sports day and some entertainment activities. Even they won't allow to dance in their cultural events more than a minute. They are like insane towards this. No scholarship would be given to many of the students. They are doing something in that money.

Good academic coaching. Yet, must concentrate more in placement and training.
Placements: The placement cell at JEC works at its best to see their students placed in a good job. But no proper training is given to the students. If the students have the sufficient knowledge to get into the companies, they could shine. Tier 2/3 companies attend the campus drive at this college, and the students could get placed in top MNCs from the off-campus drives held at other colleges. About half of ECE and CS students get placed in their dream jobs every year. The offered salaries range from Rs. 2 LPA to Rs. 3.5 LPA. Almost 40% of the students get the internship offers during the final years. The startups like Systech Solutions, Kaar Technology, Techsosys and KnackForge attend the drive. TCS and Infosys conduct the interviews off-campus.
Infrastructure: There is a good green cover throughout the college. The Wi-fi facility is provided only for the staff. The AC labs are very good and are highly facilitated. The classrooms are not digitised but wide and well set up. The canteen food is highly unbearable. The packaged foods save your taste buds. The hostel rooms are normal with ample facilities. Rest of the rooms are only a drawback which could be maintained well.
Faculty: The teachers have good knowledge and are highly helpful and qualified. They have good teaching standards. A normal blackboard teaching is done. The software programs alone will be hands-on. There is ample student-faculty ratio. We get the industry exposure by the weekly workshops from the techie persons. The course curriculum is too good.
Other: Rarely any events are conducted in this college. The campus crowd will consist only of a few nearby colleges visiting for the fest. The scholarships are provided only by the government for the students who are admitted via the counselling. The extracurricular activities are ample and include chess, badminton, cricket, etc.
